What did the dealer tell you about the solution of that problem? I have the same issue.

Yep, I had the same problem 2024 T7 and took the bike in for warranty. they installed new fiber plates just like yours and it was better but not perfect. what helped the most was switching to Mobil 1 10w40 full synthetic. and yes i tried the Yamalube full synthetic but it is not that good. i also have a 2017 FZ07 that has been running the Mobil 1 full synthetic for almost 10k. shifting on both bikes is super smooth and no clutch creeping.

The T7 has to do with a series of clutch plates (the metal plates between the clutch plates) that are provided with the wrong coating. This is a known problem at Yamaha and they will be replaced under warranty. After replacing these plates, the T7 shifts smoothly.

Couldn't adjust the chain properly because of the clutch issue?? Trying to get my head around that comment.

I have it too. hard shifts are the main problem, but it wants to creep ever so slightly with the clutch in. Worse when its "cold". In fact the bike will lurch a bit on first start. What exactly did you tell the dealership?

Just curious...did you attempt a clutch adjustment first?

How is the versys on a gravel road..I mean not offroad terrible but standard gravel roads where cars go...with some small stones here and there?

A $20 Front Fender Extenda can save your $800 radiator. I installed mine with Contact Adhesive, rather than using the sticky pads & plastic rivets that it came with. Looks better & holds stronger.

Thanks for answering my questions. I really appreciate it . I know CF has been making the 650 NK for a few years now so I’d say it’s the more reliable of the few models. Seems like the 700 has been having several issues from what I’ve read. Thanks again for your time. You do a good job with your videos .

How’s your mpg’s been? I’m kinda torn between this and z400 or ninja. I’m 6’2 225 lbs . Not sure how comfortable I’d be on either of those. Did you adjust the shifter? When I test rode I had to pick my foot up off the foot peg to shift. I had some vibration in first also. For the money tho, it’s hard to nitpick. At least 2 grand less out the door compared to other 650s .

Do you still own the bike? & what's your long-term review & what do you think so far? If you did sell it how many miles did you have when you sold it & any problems u found with owning your rally? I got that same one you do, I just did the ECU tuning I think I did the same crash bars you're talking about with the skid 🍽️ combo + the barkbuster handguards. I love this bike & I got it with only 172 MI. It looks like somebody crashed it going like 4 mph scratched the fender and never tried it again lol

Recently bought a 2007 Versys over here in Scotland, brilliant bike so far, very comfortable, handles great, fast enough for me, i have a Gixxer when i want speed anyway.

Quick question, did you remove the plastic under cowl (OEM skid plate) when you installed the inpreda skid plate? I have to think you did, but no instructions were provided.

Hey - I´ve got the same 2016 RS in blue/white. Fantastic bike, I love it. I´ve had it for 2 weeks now. The torque is amazing. Very comfortable indeed. I mounted a little spoiler windscreen to the original screen yesterday. Hardly any wind around my helmet now.
