Ugh. AI doesn't "make sense" of anything - that requires higher level cognition it doesn't have and nobody knows how to do. The entire scientific endeavor makes sense of massive amounts of unstructured data(reality). Data isn't "garbage" without AI, it becomes "garbage" with AI. Scientist need transparent explainable tools that don't interfere with their abilities to make sense, not a layer that introduces a non-transparent layer of interpretation (AI). This is a dangerous re-frame.

Krastev misses the point about Japan being excluded from Cold War Economic effects. Europe like Japan has allowed the US to make them into a Colony. A cruel twist of colonialism? The US extorting profits from Europe with LNG..... Clever right?
