Where was you fishing if you don't mind me asking. I have not found any good bank fishing spots and my luck on the boat has been horrible without the capability of affording spot lock and all the high tech gear

Hi deep banks right now with the water moving. Don’t need spot lock or anything high-tech just a anchor will do on a boat. Look for some wood if you’re in your boat that’s what they like in the winter

Me too man. I actually took a skunk a few days ago on the boat. No shame in my game, we got three hits. It was so lousy. The water temp was just a notch above freezing with chunks of ice coming down the river. thanks for watching things should start straightening out here shortly

I wonder if there is something different about down there? Up stream here at the Byrd, in the winter, The Cats seem to turn off as the sun goes down.

Right day in the right time. I actually do pretty decent on cats in the daytime in the winter myself but when the water is high, they do just fine at night I’ve noticed.

Was on the boat a few days ago and there was chunks of ice going by. Lousy trip but we tried. Yep I’m closer to 50 now than 40.😂😂. Thanks buddy

Are creeks are breaking loose finally. Water temp was 32.45 The other day on the boat. We literally got three bites all day, they would not take a rod down. Few days was before the river went up.

What no catfish in that hole of water. I was fishing a 3 to 4 acre lake at about 10 to 12 ft deep I was catching bluegill if I could get down past the bluegill to like 18ft or however deep it was to the bottom I would catch channel cat. Catching them on wax worm

We couldn’t get on the lake we wanted to. It started cracking as soon as we started messing around, it actually has some cats in it, so I had to make due. Thanks buddy, I’ll be having that boat out this week. River is finally thawing out.

James, I was going tomorrow until I went to get gas today and had No Oil pressure.My Buddy never went Icefishing had the Shanty ,Augar,Flashers, Heater all pack into the Surburban. instead of fishing ill be Outside working on my Car. I hope it don't snow. No garage.. Thanks for Showing Me Fun. Go Tomorrow it's a +1 on New Moon Phase {best day} You know you can Catch Catfish through the Ice? Bluegill small cut pieces on jig heads. Fishing on the first, Byrd Dam Ohio River: The wind blew, I got rained on, I got snowed on, I got iced on. I had accumulation on my coveralls. lol And I caught two Channel Cats. The 1st was 10lbs or so, the second about 4 lbs. I found a nest of them, some 2 dozen bites but most not big enough to take my bait/hook. But they did keep my attention.

Sometimes a fish is a fish. Several times here lately I would’ve been happy with a 3 1/2 pound channel cat so I definitely get it and then a few days before that we put a 40 in my boat.😂
