Problems solved: 1. Get a Tune. 2. They always have been dressed up Civic Si's 3. The Si's were being marked up so the 8k... Was more like 2-3 k. 4. Mazda sucks. More power but not the most thrillng. 5. Hyundai is unreliable. 6. VW - isn't the intake or exhaust manifilold made of plastic? 7. GR Corolla - didn't their engines started blowing up? 8. WRX... Cool car, but not in the luxury field.

@@foureyeddriver If I was an engineer for Honda/Acura working on THIS car, I would have: 1. Had it on double wishbone suspension. 2. Had the base model on the 1.5T but the aspec and aspec Tech on a detuned 2.0L (about 258HP like the Accord) 3. Tighter suspension, slightly wider tires 4. Had the Limited slip installed on the higher trims (Aspec and Aspec Tech, ot at LEAST the Aspec Tech) regardless of automatic or manual. 5. Had the sunroof optional on the Aspec Tech (in case Sports enthusists wanted less weight and better lower center of gravity.) It's a Sport Luxury but they forgot the "sport". Smh. And what upsets me is that for the Aspec Tech price, they couldn't throw in the gloss black sideskirts?! They want to charge extra?! Even the 2L Civic sport comes standard with the aggressive rear diffuser and side skirts. They couldn't throw those on there for the Aspec Tech price tag?! Psh.

Between cars and motorcycles, the Integra ASpec Tech is the 14th manual transmission vehicle I've had. It's also the first with rev matching. I LOVE it. The engine's really quiet, but I can hear the computer blip the throttle when I downshift. I've played around with heel and toe (with my big feet it's just toe), but the computer always gets it exactly right.

Bro i see a number of uninformed folks, i assume integra owners deciding to void their warranties due to this video. Im afraid manybof these people, inluding yourself will end up blowing their engines up listening to this video. You need a disclaimer that talks about the issues this engine has. This has 17lbs of boost stock as an undersquare design with max torque at 2000rpms. All that stress on a tiny 1.5 liter engine. The rod bolts for these things are about the size of an import 10mm bolt. It's astounding. People are popping these things left and right due to overboosting. Im not hating but just calling what i see. These are 5,000 plus dollar engines that are blowing. Likely many of these folks cant afford to replace their eingine while making payments.
@foureyeddriver
@foureyeddriver Ай бұрын
@stevenpoynter4950 Fair point. People without doing the due diligence of their research and talking to actual folks that tuned their Honda/Acura will be in that unfortunate scenario. Luckily for me, I have done so for months before considering buying a KTuner or Hondata. I have also stressed in the video why I chose those mappings, because anything higher will risk ruining your engine without proper aftermarket installations that will handle such boost. The next video about KTuner, I will not only add some data that I gathered but will also stress again about the precautions and risks of getting one.

The knocking in engine is a lie people claim, I guarantee it won’t. I own one too and my brother owns a mazda with 2.0L turbo and uses regular octane 80% of the time, is still running past 127,000 km no issues. If honda sales rep tells you 87 will run the engine fine, then generally they know what they’re talking about. And the knocking generally means the engine is adapting to lower octane, it doesn’t mean it’s struggling to process the lower grade. The reason people may claim to hear knocking with regular octane is because they tend to over push the engine after filling with 87. It’s simple don’t be idiotic. Not my first turbo car, if you plan on topping 87 octane drive the car accordingly. Longer trip’s would definitely better from a higher octane level!
@foureyeddriver
@foureyeddriver 3 ай бұрын
It's true it won't knock. If you take care of the car, the car will take care of you. Since I have an updated ECU tuner on mine, I'll most likely do 93/91 and 89 when it gets colder maybe.
@RetroKingOG
@RetroKingOG 3 ай бұрын
The reason people complain is because majority of owners will fill with regular octane then push the accelerator too hard, which makes the engine overwork for a lower octane.
