Can’t wait it’s now August and I hope the ship soon!!! I took all my hero, scape starter sets and booster packs out. I’m not setting it up until everything is here because I bought more so I could have more terrain to make some really cool elaborate maps with caves and bridges and waterfalls. Is there a way to make your own Hero scape heroes or convert heroes you already have?

So excited!!!! Love Your passion!! I feel like you’d be the person to ask. Do you know if there’s a way to do conversion charts so let’s see if I have like D&D characters I wanted to convert and use those for Hero. Do you think that there’s a way to do that? I know they’ve done D&D and they’ve done marvel before and I have those minis, but I just wanted to see if I could add more of my own minis. Any advice would be appreciated thank you.

I use an old pill or vitamin bottle for a handle...i put double sided sticky tape on top to hold the figure...cheap and works good enough for me.

I went prepainted to treat myself and have a consistent look when both classic and AoA figures are on the table. I picked up a Trex and Velocorapters DnD minis during the haslab and got them painted but haven't done anything since. I made some mistakes and didn't prime them first, but turned out much better than I ever thought. I would like a version of Knight Irene who's modeled after a grizzly bear but don't know if it's worth spending the money to get an unpainted masterset, brushes and paints when I already have the Renegades Premium Painted Edition on order.

Genuinely the thing I wish I understood when I started painting was contrast(not the paint). I didn’t understand just how important it was until much later into my painting journey

Nice job JoeCrazy!!! The figures look great. Time to watch some videos on "slap chop" speed painting to avoid the box of shame from getting too big. Glad you are having fun with the process and enjoying the results!

Nicely edited, Joe! Just a note, I believe the attack glyph being used is Sola Astrid (+1 attack die once per Order Marker). Mike's "Big Tree" method may also someday be replaced by the "Long Wall" method.

@@JOECRAZY3193 at 24:10 , Mike describes how he visualizes avoiding "line" attacks, like what Ewashia and Moltenclaw have, but using either end of the big try. Those happen to be the same with the location of two pillars that are connected by a long wall.

It has been very popular and quite successful in an online tournament! (More because Microcorps are very good in delta than because of the combo, but still!) The combo isn't very practical, but both pieces are good by themselves anyway!

The new master set is epic. Sure there’s a dragon, but evil Raelin is the ah showpiece here! Definitely going to store this new terrain in its original packaging, if only to keep it separate from the original, possibly brittle stuff I already own. I own four sets of Ticalla, but will definitely pick up one or two Laur terrain boxes. Thanks for the video and commentary, Joe

I can explain the pricing of the battle box vs the expansion box. its not that the expansion box is over priced. the battle box is actually under priced. this is super common pretty much everywhere. starter sets are always a better value for money. this holds true for miniature games, card games, board games that feature expansion sets. its industry standard. I wonder what hasbro would have charged for these?

nice video! just a comment about the walls, they did look flimsy, but they also look like they are supposed to be placed into the hex terrain.... so they are held at the bottom by the terrain and at the top by clips. I will hold my judgement until I can see how they do in person.

They will come in the future. Everything from the Haslab campaign was Unique. Unless they make some of those units common. I don’t believe we will see commons till end of 2025 but, crazier things have happened like 24 hex tile and 3 hex water tiles and even wellspring water tiles which were no offered during the HasLab. But, adding new terrain is much easier than new figures. But, fingers crossed.

They say any little thing that might be helpful. I understand, but it makes painting seem way more complicated than it really is. For example, you don't usually need the best brush. Using washes and dry brushing can make the paint do the work for you. I am excited for your painting video. You don't need to be the best painter to make a good video. Just a couple of revelations about how the paint works and you're good to go. I've been painting figures for awhile and never had a problem using only one water cup. The only important thing about figure painting is to have fun. The great thing about paint, is that if you screw up you can always just paint over it
