Well, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I simply go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Ovarian Cyst Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.

Go ahead and remove it. If you have infection take antibiotics before and after extraction. You have to consult your dentist.

I had one of my lower wisdom teeth extracted yesterday. When I got home I rinsed my mouth out with water and also spat blood out not knowing that I was not supposed to. I then read on the internet all about dry sockets and that to avoid these you should not do certain things like rinsing and spitting. I am therefore worried I have a dry socket. I have looked into my mouth using a light and a mirror but am unsure whether the socket is dry or not. I have no pain at all and my breath does not smell. What would you advise?

Did you have any inflammation before extraction? If there was no inflammation don't worry it will heal. If you start feeling pain and there is inflammation you have to consult your doctor to prescribe a medication .

My own surgeon and his office were very lax in informing me of what to do after surgery in order to properly heal. I filled out nothing but disclaimer forms and was handed a 10 line card with basic info, along with a syringe to use with water. The instructions made a quick mention of rinsing one's mouth with salt water, but failed to mention how often, and how to simply let the water swish around and not force the water through one's mouth nor to gargle. Through several good online resources and videos I've found the following good info: - Let the gauze stay in as long as possible before switching out, even if it is saturated. Do not change the gauze out frequently. Suggestions to change it out every half hour or hour or as soon as it is saturated are stupid. You will just disturb or dislodge the forming blood clot. The less you disturb the forming blood clot the better. If it takes several hours before the bleeding stops, so be it. Using a tea bag instead of gauze may also help stop the bleeding, due to the tannic acid. If it is still bleeding after that, you may want to check with your surgeon. - Do not rinse at all for the first 24 hrs, perhaps longer. For the next 24 hrs after that do not swish water around forcefully, let it simply flow and drain out of your mouth. Do not use any syringe they give you to pressure wash / jet spray the area around the open socket. Doing so will more than likely reduce or dislodge the blood clot. It is meant only to gently move food particles off the immediate area. If you're seeing bloody bits coming out of your mouth along with whatever food particles you were trying to remove, you're trying too hard. - Try NOT to: use a straw (at least 24-48 hrs), spit out saliva (swallow it if you have to and can't gently let it roll out of your mouth), forcefully rinse, gargle, cough, blow your nose, smoke (1st 3 days) or do anything else that might change the pressure inside your mouth and may dislodge the blood clot (which hopefully will have filled the open socket up to the rim, or near it. If you can see bone or adjacent teeth inside the socket, you may have already dislodged the blood clot partially or fully, exposing the nerve or opening yourself to infection). The open socket should first fill with clotting blood, then the rebuilding / healing of the gum can begin underneath. - Sleep with your head elevated when you sleep (lessens blood pressure on the head). - No working out for at least 24-48 hrs. - When you do begin to rinse (24-48 hrs after surgery) use warm salt water, preferably when you wake, after eating, and before you sleep. Again, agitate gently; it is not a washing machine motion or power wash. You are really just trying to move along small food particles and to keep infection from developing. Do this for the first 2 weeks after surgery. Do not swallow the rinse for the first 4 days after you do begin to rinse (1-2 days after surgery), which is the opposite instruction from not spitting out saliva two paragraphs above, but this is different. This is just for the salt water rinse the first 4 days). Simply let the water drain / dribble out of your mouth without forcibly spitting. - After a couple of days, when you do begin to brush your other teeth again, do so gently. Avoid the clot area in the open socket. - Avoid grainy foods (rice), and avoid food with temperature extremes (hot or cold). Preferably you will have stocked up on liquids or very soft food to eat for several days. No chips, nuts, crackers, cereal, gum, etc. Chew on the opposite side of your mouth if you can. - If you still suffer continuous pain after a couple of days, especially which emnates up to and around your ears and higher, or notice pus coming from inside the open socket area, or begin to taste or smell a foul odor emanating from the mouth (signs of infection), call your doctor. There are other recommendations I've found, but this covers the majority of the important stuff. There are methods oral surgeons can follow to pack open sockets, or fill them with bone graft material (if it is a gap that will alter have an implant placed there), but those other suggestions are based on unique situations. In general, this covers most of the issues that lead to "dry socket", which is apparently a frequent issue in from 10-20% of tooth extractions, from what I've found out. I just wish my own oral surgeon (or at least his office) took better precautions in educating patients before this became an issue. Just handing someone a water syringe with instructions to just "not use it for the first day after the procedure" is derelict, rinse with salt water (when, how often??) and call us if you are still in pain after a couple of days is frankly derelict.

Nice video content! Forgive me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Taparton Skin Delight Takeover (just google it)? It is a great one of a kind guide for discovering an easy treatment for Angular Cheilitis minus the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my old buddy Taylor finally got astronomical results with it.
