Sweet. how available are these tracks.. I've been looking into several different designs for my 11JK

Since Mopar does not offer rock rails for the Jeep Renegade, it seems the Daystar Rock Sliders are the next best option available.

installed 1.5 inch lift seems more wobbly on bumpy paved roads. is that typical?
@DaystarProducts8 жыл бұрын
The vehicle driving characteristics would not change from factory, the bumpy feeling you may be experiencing may be related to your tires being over inflated. Please feel free to email [email protected] or call us directly at 800-595-7659.

Looks awesome. These seem universal enough to install on other vehicles, granted they have enough clearance between the hood supports. I want some for my turbo Chevy sonic to vent turbo and radiator heat. A spare OEM hood and vents are still cheaper than a custom vented carbon fiber hood by a big margin.

How does a hole in the front help with heat loss? I am usually crawling in the desert heat. Thanks.

Great video. Thinking about purchasing these vents for my wrangler, I was wondering what about water. When it rains, I live in Florida and during the rainy season it really pours down here. Unfortunately I don't have a garage. Is there a water issue with these vents? Thanks
@DaystarProducts7 жыл бұрын
The hood vents shouldn't be any problem, even with heavy rains. The fuse box is near one of the vents, but it has a rubber o-ring seal with an overlapping lip on the cover so no water should be able to get in there. The air filter box is also nearby and it too has a seal. If any water gets into the box there is also a drain hole to let it out. Make sure the hole is unrestricted. If you're worried about excessive amounts of water you could enlarge the hole or drill an additional one to ensure the water drains out, even though it is unlikely much would get in. The drain is located before the filter so it wouldn't let any intake air bypass the filter. Double check your seals and verify the drain is open and you should be good.

Whats the point of a heat pad. My jeep never came with one.
@DaystarProducts10 жыл бұрын
The heat pad helps to keep under-hood noise down, and also helps to protect the paint on the hood from all the heat.

I just installed these on my JK. This video was a big help, as were the well put together instructions from Daystar, all told, an easy install. In fact, I just ordered the complementing center vent to round out the install. A+ to Daystar!!!!

I just did a pre-run of that trail for the FMCA 4-Wheelers event held first week of May. Just two of us and we blew through the entire trail in about four hours, no spotting needed on those two tight corners :) Fun trail but there's a lot of flat dirt involved.
