I liked the enchantress version, but I fell in love with the equipment version. Just remember with protection any auras and colored equipment will fall off if you get protection from that color. My favorite win condition is to use aetherflux reservoir and sensei's divining top or the isochron scepter dramatic reversal combo.

@@bluecollarcommander2030 yeah, the typical case is that it gives you the life you need to 2 shot the first player, 1 shot the second player, and use the death Ray on the third. I don't typically rely on combos to win, but it's nice that if she gets hated out I can still claw my way back

As far as 4+ player games of commander go, Chishoro, The Shattered Blade. If it did one of creating tokens or buffing power/toughness it wouldn't be too bad. But it's just too fast of a commander to play against when everyone else at the table just brushes it under the table. And when they realize that it's, not just going wide, but going tall as well it's too late. It also goes infinite with waaaaay too much.

Because every attack will make you two forests! Basically every attack will net you 2 mana ramp (until the creatures die) and +2/+2 every attack.

I should specify, every attack will make you two forest dryad tokens specifically. They still count as forests and are lands while on the field.

So if I have any of these instand win combos in my deck it is a 10 or how would I understand the scaling here?

Nah not necessarily. For example this combo in myrkul is a fairly late game combo. If you're trying to gauge your deck for power level, there's a few questions you gotta ask yourself. 1: how cheap is the combo? This one for instance is 9 mana if performed in the same turn. Even separately, it's 7 mana for myrkul so it's definitely slow. 2:Does the combo actually win the game the turn it's performed. This combo grants infinite mana but a win condition is still needed. A combo that makes infinite tokens but needs to swing with them is worse than a combo that burns out the opponent for a win on the spot. 3: how hard are you trying to achieve said combo? You can have the best combo in the game, but if you're not tutoring it up, it's all up to chance in the end and thus no where near a 10. Hope this helped and if ya need more details ask away

We actually played out our game (just never got around to editing it...) And it performed very well but not anything insanely out of control. it was a blast to play and allowed me to play actual treefolk tribal and not doran big booty tribal lol.

You can also do this with myr retriever scrap trawler and any sac outlet for infinite damage or infinite mana on top of the infinite 2/2s if you want a more budget version that uses blasting station or ashnods altar

Rocco street chef was my first commander, it use to be an ehh deck now it scares my friends. I beefed it up with counters matter cards, mostly cards that make it so all creatures with counters have a new keyword, then I have a ton of cards that give counters and a ton of "enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters" so I just make really big creatures and stomp them to death.

you don't even need the Artifact in the GY, you just need one in hand. The affect of tortured existence has you discard a creature as part of the cost, so when the affect triggers, your paid artifact creature is already in the GY and you can just return the creature you discarded

Wouldn't both need to be artifacts to go net positive tho? He makes 2 necrons for each artifact creature leaving and each of those net one mana from altar which we need 1 of for each activation of tortured existence. But having both be artifact creatures gets us 4 dudes for 2 mana allowing a net positive? To be fair tho even if that's right, the non-net positive version is still infinite etb and dies triggers! And when combined with tons of other cards is just as easily an infinite for win!

@bluecollarcommander2030 the mana is net positive just with one trigger (as one trigger for one black mana gets you 2 creatures netting 2 mana of any color) and you would only get one trigger per activation of tortured existence as it only ever returns one artifact creature per trigger. This video implies you already need an artifact creature in graveyard to get the return affect but my point is that you can return the creature you discarded as it was part of the cost.

@@bluecollarcommander2030 each activation gives you 2 necron warriors creating 2 of any color (black) mana for one black mana. This means you only need one trigger from tortured existence to net one mana or necron warrior. My point is that the artifact creature in your graveyard and hand is unnecessary, as you only need the one in hand. This is because discarding the creature is apart of the cost and therefore, the creature is in the graveyard when you resolve the affect, and the card does not specify that it must be a different creature than the one you discarded.

@@bluecollarcommander2030he’s wrong though, to activate the ability you need a valid target for the enchantment the way the video presents it is correct. I have this as a cedh deck You can’t return the same card you are discarding. This is because you pick the target before paying the costs.(Judge ruling from 2004 judge) had to jump through crazy hoops to pull off a win yesterday with 70 cards exiled and no cards left in library😂

Reins of the vinesteed only work when a creatures is put into graveyard , token die won’t go to graveyard, so reins of the vinesteed won’t come back to battlefield

If you look into the rules, tokens do in fact die and go to the graveyard. Then upon state based effects check ceases to exist. This is why blood artist triggers upon token death. Or skullclamp upon token death.

Huge no. Glare of Subdual is number 1 and here's why: We're at the opponent's untap step. Good. Upkeep. At the beginning of upkeep, tap Emmara to tap... Sol Ring or another useful card... Maybe a huge creature we can't stop... Oh, the token also is able to be tapped, because it's Glare's effect. A good combo with Seedborn Muse makes your opponents tapped forever

I can get behind that. Glare is absolutely wild in the deck. I think the tap an artifact utility flew right over my head. Nice point out. I personally love longbow for it's removal capabilities but I gotta say glare does outshine it as a control piece.

started using your brew with a few left out i will say its a good deck just slow sometimes and that also my buddy thinks its over for him and remove the commander every chance he gets while playing locust god but other than that grate brew made him rage quit not being able to block 87 1/1 goblins

@@bluecollarcommander2030 I would run less land I run 31 and haven’t had a game that I was not land hitting every 3 turns with more search engines and win cons I use city on fire it helps with the ninjutsu when your able to use shinobi for 5 and city on fire does 3 times that for it Including all of their permanence that deal damage

Prosperous partnership goes pretty hard in the deck. Any creatures that you don't end up tapping for convoke spells can instead be tapped for treasures. Combine that with halo fountain, the 15 creatures you tap to make 5 treasures can immediately be untapped to win the game.

Most definitely! All the pieces fit by themselves as well so you're not necessarily waiting on the combo to get value! Desecrated tomb, Skeleton crew and Tormod, the Desecrator are great includes as well! They work well with tortured existence and can quickly cause huge swarms to hit the field at once!

yep they sure are. both just so happen so share multiple synergies. thanks to the wording on newer discard synergy cards both connive and cycling trigger some of the cards shown. both also rapidly set up a graveyard for cards like living end.

Since GG&S's ability is activated you'd need to spend 2 mana Everytime new creatures would enter and this combo relies on the new creatures having haste. Fervor makes sure they do and that mana won't be an issue!

So scryfall has a legality tab to filter only legal for pauper commander but I use MTG familiar (an app) that I think uses gatherer as it's resource base. It also has a filter. Luckily the banned list is particularly small compared to EDH (besides commons only lol). Also Tron gains some viability since commander damage is only 16 in PDH

Attrition is good way to have a constant kill spell for nonblack creatures at the cost of a phoenix which you can just return
