D'après son fils Ari Boulogne qu'elle a eu avec Alain Delon mais qu'il n'a jamais reconnu, Nico est née opiomane de par son père. Et je pense que dans l'adolescence elle a commencé l'héroïne que son fils a d'ailleurs pris également. Après a une époque elle avait décrocher et pris de la metadone. Mais je crois qu'elle a replongé. Elle est morte jeune. Mais elle était magnifique quand même

Yeah, TBF, Nico’s voice itself was…um…unique and unconventional to say the least (and I mean that in a good way). I mean, I love Nico, and no offense to the Nico fans out there, but…well…Nico herself wasn’t a great singer, not in the traditional way at least (same could be said of Lou Reed). Thing was, if she had ever done any duets with any other person otherwise, her deep androgynous German accented monotonous tuneless voice would considered to be a detracting factor, but here, strangely enough, it works.
