I LOVE this movie.When one of his aunts asks if Jonathan was in an accident, and refers to a movie they saw,I think she is referring to the movie "Frankenstein." Priscilla Lane is Very good as Mortimer's girlfriend.And the actor who plays Teddy Roosevelt is very,very good,and his "charge" routines are precious and hilarious!

Jack Carson,James Gleason play police officers and they're so funny and unique in their parts!

I think it's bettter in black and white,that background is more effective, adds to the scariness of the film.

They ruined this movie when they remastered it; the huge banging that can be heard twice in the movie used to make the ornaments rattle and vibrate on top of the old TV Sets - it's diminished somewhat - I don't know what they did to it - but they ought to put it right. It was one of the scariest and atmospheric parts of the movie that's been ruined...
