I think the underside of the bottom bunk should have piping attached so the outer legs line up with it when in stored mode. It would look more complete

I'd be interested to see if it still works when the shelves are fully loaded with books. My reason for needing one isn't to HIDE a bed, it's to maximise book shelving space while still having the option of a bed. Many of these systems (every one I've seen, so far) it turns out they don't work if you fuill every shelf fuly with books as the hinges or other mechanism can't take that amou nt of weight.

I don't have this Stay-Level style desk in a standing position. There are Standing desk converters that will sit on a normal desk and adjust to standing position. As long as there starting point is no higher than 8" they should work. I have not done that before, but it may be a good idea.

It’s nice that you do not have to have the typical wire racks inside the file drawers. It gives the unit a much cleaner design.

The lift up center is great to hide your mess. On top of that you can leave everything on there when using the bed.
