Hi! What was the minimum temperature in your garden ever? Where is it exactly? Split, Sibenik, Dubrovnik? Thanks!

You have got an interesting variety of plants. Surely the garden would look a lot more luscious at a different time of the year, ideally in early summer. In the cold season mediterranean garden are normally full of fava beans, peas, chicory, and other delicious plants. Have I missed the persimmon tree or wasn't there any? Most fruit trees look somewhat flimsy with lots of thin branches. This could be due to a lack of proper pruning or due to lack of sunlight, or both, as your plant density seems to be rather high. Soil fertility seems to be lacking too. There are many ways of naturally enriching the soil over time. All in all a nice garden with a great variety of plants.

Great story! Does it bolt on you, and can you than cut flower stalks to get another harvest? All the best guys

We do not get flowers or seeds at all.. we cut it until it starts going into flower and then we simply pull out everything, put a new layer of compost and seed it again. Rinse and repeat.

Hi, what is the reccomended compost application rate? How much time in all does it take you for a pile to do finished? Thanks

We use pure compost since it's a bit mixed with clay soil, but it's mostly compost. Depending on the size of the pile and weather it could take from 3 to 4.5 weeks.

Hvala. :) By hand, nothing special. We use the no dig, no till method so we apply a new layer of compost every time we seed a bed.
