While as an arachnid enthusiast and tarantula keeper I'd LOVE for a spider that big to be real, scientifically it is impossible. The way a spider breathes, and the way oxygen is diffused into the body, prevents it from becoming too big, or otherwise the book lungs would not be able to function properly. Ps my man, a little suggestion if you like to hear. Slow down and breathe. Punctuation is on paper for a reason, respect it.

@@susanhanna940 With most species as they get incredibly large, we notice a decrease in most organ functions. For taller humans, they often have excessive joint problems for example. With spiders, their respiratory strains as it gets larger. While there have been larger insects in the fossil records, those occurred when oxygen percentage in the air was much higher. It is a little rough, but you can get an estimate for size limits on difference species.

I think it’s interesting to note that when it comes to creatures like giant spiders, Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster, nobody ever has a clear photo. We see wonderful pictures of birds in flight, fish underwater and lions making kills. Photographers get cameras into wolf and snake dens, eagle nests and ant hills. We see clear pictures of the surface of the moon and planets and tiny creatures under microscopes. But Bigfoot and Nessy are always blurred, and the J’ba Fofi has not been photographed at all.

@dogma96099 ай бұрын
@@glennwarlock1555 conveniently all the expeditions ( especially the ones who went hunting for this damn thing) turned up zero evidence. literally...nothing. they were hunting in the areas were the alleged things live too the Congo basin is largely unexplored, but in all the areas where these "giant" spiders live happily, ( considering the last sighting of the J'ba Fofi was in 2014) and in 2013 the night vision camera caught a "spider" in Mozambique( population of 34 million). Maybe u r the one who needs to do your homework, "genius": arachnids size is limited by a number of physiological factors- circulation and pressure and so forth, similar to but distinct from those limiting the growth of crabs. 4 or 5 footers? nope.. it wouldn't and couldn't work. its impossible for an invertebrate( due to limitations of its exoskeleton) to grow to the size that they are saying. so unless spiders sprout Lungs, insects and arachnids and such get their oxygen via diffusion thru tiny tubes or overlapping folds that allow air to pass thru their body, and there's no way in hell they can get enough oxygen if they are much bigger than they are currently now. EVEN IF by some astonishing miracle, that the J'ba Fofi uses some radically new improved respiratory system (never documented before in any living thing), there is STILL the issue of the exoskeletons. exoskeletons are heavy things and a 5 or 6 foot Spider's exoskeleton would be too heavy for it to support or even move. Look at the Goliath bird eating Spider which is almost a foot across( 11 inches). it moves...very slowly. scientists have found that the largest creature with an exoskeleton is the coconut crab at 3 feet. a spider of Exceptional size darting thru the jungle at immense speed is sounding a tad improbable, don't ya think? a Mouse has small and brittle bones, but the elephant has thick and sturdy bones to support its enormous frame, right? the Only way such a creature like this could survive is if its skeleton was made of lighter and stronger stuff than we are aware of in the natural world. i feel kinda stupid explaining this all to you, who is clearly so much smarter than myself at this point there's more evidence for Santa Clause.
