VERY NICE !!! Look's like A NEW PLACE !!! I would NOT ever put "DARK" Flooring, or Ceiling-Fan's, in ANY Home !!! (Unless the people Request it.) On the Flooring, it just SHOW'S Each and Every Foot-Print !!! On the Fan's, SHOW'S too much Dust !!! Really liked HOW you made the Room's Wider, to "Eliminate" the Long Hall !!! Battery must have run Down. . . No rest of the Video. 😞

Walk in closets are nice exactly because they don't hog all the wall space. Nice redo overall, up to the sudden cutoff of the video. Too bad you've done no more makeover-porn videos. Love seeing things made to look better.

At first I just changed the pitch to a 1:12 rake with a pony wall under the wall end. Got turned in by a nice neighbor and had to pull a permit. So ended up building columns through floors and post and beam in front to be okay per UBC with inspector. Sort of like building a car post over half the mobile home

@@nathancollins5822 You have to watch out when adding to any mobile home as they are engineered at the factory. If you are going to stay in it or rent it out, changing it is no issue. But if you move it or sell it, it must be as built by the manufacturer to get a inspector to sign off on the install. If you are looking to be able to move from place to place , you might be better off with a park model. 5hey are registered as RVs and under different rules. If adding on to existing mobile and not moving: get a permit or not but build as an independent structure that meets UBC code that does not depend on the original walls to hold it up. You can't prove column structure to the ground using existing mobile walls and frame.

We basically just changed the pitch to a one ten pitch. And engineered load column thru the floor to the ground and post and beam out front. Almost like building a carport over the middle section of the house.

Beautiful floors and space! I have a 1974 mobile home that some people tell me to just sell it but it's in really good condition for the most part so I've decided it would be cheaper to fix it up then to buy new and getting work done this Fall. The hardwood will definitely be an addition:)

Mark Hoffman as long as it's not the exterior wall it's cake and there is room for a standard header plus haven't seen an interior cross wall that is load bearing. On exterior walls little more tricky as you don't have 8 feet and need room for header. you can use a 4 x4 and squeeze it in there. or cut down a standard door.

@@billmaxwell4717 I'm rehabing a 1970 and front door is good but casing was bad. I bought a new front prehung door and making new casing for old door to install in place of MH rear door. No problems with header.Mine has 8 foot ceilings. Must say you did a great job.

Nice Rehab. I'm curious of what you paid for the home and the repair budget? (rough figures) This sounds like you put 8k-10k minimum, which can definitely be justified, depending on the location and area of the country.😊

go4tows I agree, it's funny when you put a mobile home on concrete blocks or foundation then it's considered a ranch and not a mobile home, but it looks like they replaced the wall panels with drywall which splitting that home to move becomes a nightmare
