Great looking fly m8. Kinda reminds me of some of Alex Lavkas flies. Which is a good thing.

I would have put a thread dam in front of the fish mask just in case.

Thank you sir! I just purchased some double hooks like the one you tied on here but honestly I had no idea what i was going to do with them. Now I do!!! Thank you! Tight lines!!

Been messin' around with a crayfish tie for years now. A lot of what I discovered on my build is what I'm seeing in your build!! I'm specifically targeting very large tail-water brown trout...the local crawdad being olive grey here on the North Platte River in southern Wyoming. I have a UV orange hot spot dubbing bump before my homemade red mono eyes. My tying mentor (a BC steelhead junkie) drilled into me 20+ years ago 'movement is life' and 'thin to win' fly profile translucency. Mission accomplished here sir!

hoi André, prachtig patroontje! Vorig jaar heb ik een zeeforelvlieg van je gekregen en die ving super op Funen, hoe kan ik je bereiken om te vragen of je daar ook een bindinstructie van hebt?

I've been using the "Spey Spoon" here in BC, Canada for Steelhead for 25 years and absolutely hammer the fish...it even out fishes the gear spoon (on occasion) because it can be fished in calmer water and still get a consistent wobble without hanging up in the rocks...and NOTHING covers a run as efficiently as a swung line...Cheers

It's a beauty Daniel! Love all the natural movement materials. Have you considered a quick dubbing loop of longer fibers for the head?
