Note for all the banking aspirants: PSU banks or INSURING companies cannot be considered as Govt Banks. There are many many drawbacks in these jobs which most of the people wouldn't discuss on an OpenForum. 1. Poor Technical Infrastructure and proper training 2. Dumb Transfer policies and Manipulative Postings with long wokring hours 3. It is a Financial Sector, targets are going to chase your mental peace. 4. CTC is not so great compared to its peers in PVT Sector. Staff would be forced to cross sell Insurance and other misc things for silly perks like a dinner at a Hotel with #RegionalHead 5. As a service Sector, we would be the face to take all that trash talk from all kinda people. 6. This is definitely not the time to jump into a PSU bank with all the rumors of Privatization circling around, as long as you dont have any other option.

You've already taken a solid step with your courses, which are great foundations. Between US CMA and FRM, the choice depends on your career goals: CMA is ideal for management accounting, while FRM is best for risk management and finance. Since you plan to pursue CFA after graduation, FRM aligns better with CFA in the finance domain. You can reach us on WhatsApp/Call at +91 9819137880 for further guidance.

@Fintelligents7 күн бұрын
Both FRM and CFP offer distinct advantages, depending on your career goals. If you're looking to specialize in risk management and financial analysis, FRM might be the better long-term choice. However, if you're aiming for a career in financial planning and advising clients, CFP could provide more rewarding results.

Hello Sir How Are You? sir is there any particular board for FP&A? Where to do it from? Is it a certification or just an extra soft skill? After doing FP&A how to get a job? Can someone who has just completed Bachelor's with no experience can work after doing FP&A in fields mentioned above? Can u pls mention how to acquire job after FP&A and also qualification to work in the field.
@Fintelligents7 күн бұрын
I'm doing well, thank you! FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) isn't tied to a specific board but can be pursued through certifications like the CFA or specific FP&A programs. It's more than just a soft skill; it's a technical qualification. To get a job in FP&A, you can start by gaining experience through internships or entry-level roles in finance. With a Bachelor's and FP&A certification, you can definitely explore opportunities in financial analysis or planning, but you may need to focus on building practical skills and networking.

Hi Sir, how are you? CISI is UK based is it worth doing in India? & It is a knowledge platform can we get a job through cisi with just bachelor's degree? & There are some certificates where exam slot can only be booked by customer care what to do about it? Shall I call UK for it and how?
@Fintelligents7 күн бұрын
CISI can be valuable in India, especially if you're targeting roles with global financial institutions. While having just a Bachelor's might not guarantee a job, CISI can enhance your chances, especially if you build practical experience. We will be starting CISI certification in the future, and we can help you with the process then! If the exam slots are only available through customer care, you can contact CISI support via their website or customer service to inquire about booking options.

if you want to do real FP&A you will have to sit in a plant(factory) and work culture in india is pathetic there
@Fintelligents7 күн бұрын
I understand your concern. While it’s true that FP&A roles in some factories may involve sitting on-site, it’s important to remember that there are also opportunities in corporate finance, which may offer a different work culture. It all depends on the company and the specific role you’re aiming for.
@opinionnnn9 күн бұрын
This is a bullshit career in india you are never allowed to take decisions, it is a streamlined process nothing new to do you will only do copy paste in india big managerial decisions are take by people sitting in onshore team
@Fintelligents7 күн бұрын
I understand your concern, but it's important to remember that every career has its challenges, and the experience can vary depending on the company and role. While decision-making might be centralized in some organizations, there are many companies in India where FP&A professionals have more autonomy and growth opportunities.

CFP with these requirements can be a good fit or not? What i think is taking CFP is a waste of my time and money because employers don't take this certification seriously, i don't know why people see this only limited to personal finance. But when someone actually reads the textbook provided by fpsb then it has more depth of content. I need your thoughts and opinions on this please.
@Fintelligents7 күн бұрын
While it's true that CFP is often associated with personal finance, it actually covers a broad range of financial planning topics with significant depth. Employers may not always recognize its value upfront, but it's highly respected in the financial planning industry, and can open doors if you’re targeting roles in financial advisory or planning. It could be a good investment, depending on your career goals.

Hello sir, I have a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. I am 25 years old. I don’t find CFA level hard but it is fun because the quantitative section is something i have studied in my bachelor’s of civil engineering program (in Engineering Economics and Probablity and Statistics subjects) Also i started trading and investing when i was 20 years old, so i have an okay knowledge of economics, market structure, derivatives. I actually love these subjects. But the issue is, i have a background in civil engineering and i am 25 years old. Even after i pass the level I, will i be eligible to get into finance jobs like investment banker, portfolio manager, consulting etc. I also have MBA in my plans. Please help me with this. How common is it for engineers to pursue CFA and have a career in finance despite their background? Please do reply.🙂

It’s great to see your enthusiasm and background in both engineering and finance! Many engineers successfully transition into finance roles, including investment banking, portfolio management, and consulting. Your CFA knowledge, along with your MBA plans, will certainly enhance your profile. While it may take some effort to pivot into finance, it's not uncommon for engineers to pursue the CFA and build successful careers in finance, as long as you continue networking and gaining relevant experience
