That tornado was 1.5 miles wide and the edge of it was 350 feet from the hotel.

Although I live in the UK, I have seen weather just like that and I've been through a tornado warning which makes sense because I live in a tornado alley with a suppossedly "2%" chance for tornados with Reading and London having a "5% - 6%" chance, but they get tornados a lot and what I normally get is some severe weather and (sometimes) a tornado watch but that's it

Not once did you make the intelligent decision to look at weather radar. What an idiot.

I used to have a server like this, but it was using a lot of power, was very loud and it used expensive server drives that I couldn't upgrade. Not too mention how difficult it was to sell the thing

And people in the UK moaning about Storm Darragh 😂 👍 it was nothing compared to the storms you get in the States , I used to live in North Carolina before coming back to the UK and the snow storms we got in Charlotte were scary 😱 even the day i flew back there was a huge snow 🌨️ ☃️ storm that nearly crashed my aircraft so scary.

Pretty sure that when you get a tornado *warning* on your phone and the wind/rain is that severe, you probably shouldn’t be hanging out on the top floor of a multi-story building with a glass roof…

Never underestimate a warning. Night tornadoes are essentially completely invisible until it's far too late, and even day tornadoes can be hard to locate if they are on the opposite side of the building, or if a significant amount of rain is obscuring your view. Never trust the building will hold either. Just look at images of EF4 or EF5 tornado damage and you'll see my point. Also if your windows are at risk of breaking, you should shut the blinds or curtains to shield from glass shards. You were lucky, but that may not be the case next time if you repeat anything you did here.

I'm originally from Western Massachusetts and we do get our fair share of crazy weather. I went to Basic Training and AIT (Advanced Individual Training) at Fort Sill, OK. I had never seen storms like the ones I saw there where the sky crackled with constant lightning in the midst of a torrential downpour. It's said that that's 'God's country' which is funny since it seems he's hitting it with the worst weather.

I come back to this video, every once in a while. This year, the area got hit by several tornado's in one storm. Bentonville, rogers, Decatur, Gentry, the list just got longer and longer. We lost a few people, we were lucky we didn't lose more. The next morning all i could hear were chainsaws, and sirens. It took two weeks to get power back, nearly a month to get internet, and our homes are still damaged, many were destroyed...and this was at the end of May. Nature here can really, really get upset.

Oh my God bro, this is literally an example of how to NOT act during this kind of event. You were literally IN the tornado. You shouldve taken shelter immeadiatly you dont realise how dangerous that was and how lucky you were.

Ok that was hilarious. The warning text alert came in “tornado warning, check media!” So then you immediately swing your phone out the window to the NBC News Building. Did you mean to do that? 😂

I live in Oklahoma so I've been through many storms like that. Some of the storms I've been through weren't tornado warned but severe enough to have to take cover.

hi there, skywarn spotter, not of that really matters, if there is a tornado warning you need to go down to the lowest floor of the building, in the stairwell, and stay there even after like 10 minutes of the warning expiring, you cant just see a tornado outside, its pitch black and there is no visible tornado to see, it could possibly be rain wrapped as well, and even a lot more stuff, please research stuff about weather, there is also no "eye" of a tornado or storm, thats only in hurricanes, if the tornado warning expires, stay in there until 10 minutes has passed, to ensure your safety, if a tornado warning expires, that doesn't necessarily mean that the storm passed, it just meaned that its out of criteria, and its just a severe thunderstorm. thanks!

2:49 you may not see it, but the warning was issued because radar indicated rotation. Unless there was a CONFIRMED tornado on the ground.
