I just bought a similar 92 Chevy 2500 and I noticed, like yours it has 6 lug rims instead of 8. do you know if the axles are 3/4 ton or are they half ton?

Because it half ton truck like mine what was common was they switch cab on them on to clean frame cause either one of them rusted out

Not going get very well for being a older carburetored truck and old inline 6 didn't do any better or worst then the 305 350 engines due having work even harder. Say looking at best 10-12 mpg

Thems those special cold start boots they don’t makem no more , I believe that old store Sears Roebuck sold them but thays loooong gone! Aaah the good ole days.

+Chance Mckenzie It still going as of this day though yes the Detroit 6.2/6.5 were nothing to brag about but if treated well they will run a long ways with decent fuel economy. I know CORVAIRWILD has few of them that he drives everyday.

rrcoster Nothing to see 400.000 on a 6.5 that is maintained properly. The same for a 5.7 gas. People bash 6.2 and 6.5 diesels and expect them to be 400 Cummins which they never will be.

The John deere 425, 445, and 455 are all equipped with electronic fuel ejection this means that it will give its self enough choke automatically to start so it is unnecessary to start in half or full throttle. It is also better on the mower to start at an idle
