Do you still have printed lists of your acrylic lacquer paints? I prefer lacquer over,factory color match.Iwas recently at Route 66 model Raceway a bought six bottles of your enamel, loved it will buy a lot more

i have a paasche -thx suction feed airbrush and was very excited when you mentioned the adapter..how or where can I get an adapter so i can screw paint directly on airbrush? anyone have ideas? Ive looked with no success!

Are your paints all basecoat requiring clear ? I ask cause I prefer basecoat and a 2k clear on my models vs 1 stage paints.

HI, All of our lacquers are 1k with no clear needed. This will give you a factory look, since the cars of the 50's , 60,s and 70's were not cleared. Any clear cn go over our lacquers with no problem.

I have a p38 lighting that needs assembly..but I don't have everything I need to assemble..tools and paints..stuff is not easy to get ahold of..and of course I don't want to assemble it until painted..then decals go on lastly..but I don't have a good hobby store around town/close by..

I’d hate to ask, but how does the enamel do if I have to strip it? It’s not the paint’s fault, but my airbrush’s. I love the color and tried wet sanding to save it, but I’m to the point where I think stripping it is a better thing. I normally use the dollar store degreaser to strip paint. Will that work?

Have not tried stripping yet, but I would say DOT3 break fluid

@@michaelguest8571 well, it came down to me having to strip it. I used the dollar store degreaser, and the paint practically fell off by the next morning. My Passce H4 is coming in today, so I’ll be spraying the body with that tonight.

No, they are able to be brushed and thinned for airbrush

Our lacquers are pre thinned and not brushable. Our enamels are not pre-thinned and are able to be brushed on

How long do I have to wait to shoot the clear coat #1017? Humidity is low enough and I just shot the top coat red #2016.

Hi Michael: I am doing an aircraft model that calls for FS 27875 White. MCW has 17875 and 37875 but I don't see 27875 White. Is it available from MCW? Thanks, Steve

That is just a semi-gloss version. You can get the 17875 and spray our 20% clear over it to get the desired color. Mike

@@michaelguest8571 Hi Michael. Could you give me the MCW number of the Clear you recommend? When you say 20%, is that part of the paint color or is it referring to a mixture of 20% Clear and 80% Thinner? What is the MCW number for your paint thinner? And what is the number of your Matt Black which is also called for in the paint specs. And finally, what kind of glue do you recommend for a T-28 Trojan Aircraft model 1:48. Thanks, Steve

Hello, wanted to ask a question so I looked for Contact info on your website, but couldn't find it. The Godaddy search engine sucks, you might want to ask for a refund. I wanted to ask if you are still offering your paint in aerosol cans?, because I would like to order the 7113 Chevrolet Antique Green and a matching matte opaque green in either aerosol or bottle for a matching vinyl roof. And the other question is when do you anticipate the paper catalog being restocked?

When you say clean the airbrush with lacquer thinner from a big box store are you referring to regular lacquer thinner for nitro cellulose lacquer? I bought some of your airbrush thinner for water based paint. Will either work? Obviously I am sure your thinner is for thinning but lacquer thinner would be preferred for cleanup from a cost savings. I typically use windex to clean the airbrush now with other paints that are water based. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, the lacquer thinner that you can buy at the box stores is great for cleaning. The thinner you purchased from us is automotive grade and has agents for flow and leveling.

One quick question, is a Primer/Sealer needed for use on styrene? I'm assuming not, but I don't want to ruin a vintage kit!

We always recommend a primer. We also recommend a sealer for red, yellow, or orange plastic as these colors can sometimes bleed through. MCW makes a great light gray primer that is sandable and part of our complete paint system.

I was just checking out the website and saw that! Very cool, I'm currently scratch building an old Richie Evans Chevy Caviler Nascar modified and he used GMC Omaha orange (NY state dot color) Do you guys carry that?

Bottles are a full ounce. enough to paint one car. Once you try it and see how much better it is over most other paints out there. We do not mix cheaper paint into clear lacquer. We use only PPG Duracryl toners and thinners in our paint system. It is single stage also, no base coat/clear coat.

No, they are such small amounts, that I have had no problems. It is a problem if any one container holds more than a quart

If they run, turn model upside down and spray some more and it will level out.

It will hold up very very well to water. This paint is automotive grade and will hold up as such.
