Thanks, I watched them, none of that applies to my cat though. Her bowl is not plastic, the water is not cold, she doesn't drink too fast or eat too fast. She simply chockes after drinking water since she was a kitten.

I came back to watch this again and it helped me to resolve an issue. With the high fence I was concerned that my CH kitty would get tripped up in the gap between the ramp and the globe. But with just the step, which she’s been using for over a month, she hits her leg or foot on the side every time she jumps out. I hope she’ll use the ramo now that I’ve installed it with the LOW fence and there is no gap. Thank you for posting this video 🙏🏽

Do you empty the litter waste drawer before it's full? I'm a new owner, & the drawer isn't full after one week & I have 2 cats. You said you empty yours once a week.

Hi, I empty it every week, I just do it to avoid odors from buiding up, that's all. If the temperature is cool and you place some deodorizers you can let the waste drawer go longer without emptying.

The instructions say to put the unit in Add Litter mode before adding litter by hitting the Clean button for 3 seconds; however, it's not working for me. I am looking for a video that might give more guidance on this Add Litter mode but it looks like you just put in the litter without using Add Litter mode. Does that work for you or does it cause issues with the device not recognizing properly whether a cat is in the unit?

I always just put the litter in without the Add Litter mode and I haven't had any issues with the device! It is not really needed at all.

Thanks for this. I just ordered the mount and came on youtube to see how others were using it. Your set up video was also very helpful. Cats are so funny. I put some of his old litter in the litter robot, and placed him in there once and he got it and started using it right away. Now, don’t let me feed him something other than his favorite can food or he will go on a hunger strike. 😂

I used a damp sponge (the scrubing part) with a tiny bit of soft scrub. Then I wiped it clean with a damp paper towel. I used this method because I didn't have rubbing alcohol at hand, but if you have you can use rubbing alcohol that works very well.

i was going to throw my Wopet cat fountain away because the pump had stopped working even though I would clean the fountain weekly. This video showed me how to take the internal pump apart with NO tools and clean it. My pump was full of reddish algae and after cleaning it out it works like new again. Thanks for this helpful video. I just assumed that the two halves of the pump body were glued together but they are not and will separate with a slight constant pull.

Thank you! The Litter Robot is new to me and somehow I missed the step of swapping out the key on the back. I kept getting “motor jammed” messages and litter was spilling out the back when I would take hopper off. Found your video and it clicked….I missed the key part. Now it’s fixed! Thank you!!

Hi, if you fill the hopper up to the max line and fill the globe up to the max line as well, in my case with one cat it lasts about 11 days. Update: I counted the days and It lasts 15 days.

Hi, you press the button when setting up the clock and it will show the numbers AM and if you keep pressing it will automatically change to PM or viceversa. You can see on my video how it changes.

Just got mine! Works really well, but I realized it's leaking litter, likely under the litter saver, and it's getting into the gear that rotates the globe. Could become a problem in the long term. Have you had this issue?

Hi! I haven't experienced cat litter leaking like you mention. What I have noticed is that sometimes the SmartSpin doesn't rotate if I put too much cat litter. It seems like the unit operates with a minimum amount of it. If I put a little extra of the required amount the excess of cat litter goes to the waste drawer when rotating (I must mention that this happens with the Litter Robot too). What I do is trying to keep the litter level low to allow a better performance of the unit. Thanks for your comment. I hope that helps.

@@catfooddispensersreviews2696 That's interesting. You're probably right, it can only handle so much weight. I use micro crystals, which are pretty light compared to clay. However, because they're so tiny that's probably why they're getting through and getting into the gear. I spotted some very tiny holes in the globe on either side of the screws >_< I might use gorilla tape along the inside seam to keep the litter out.

Hi Nadine, the ice packs last aproximately 7 hours in the Pixi feeder. In a cold environment the food could last up to 12 hours or longer if placing a cooling mat under. Considering this I don't think it's recommended to leave wet cat food in the feeder for 6 days. Refrigerated wet cat food is recommended to consume within 4 days.

Hi Brian, I use it with the lower fence but I notice the higher fence has like a curved shape on that spot to catch anything. The excess of litter from the cat's paws will fall and be trapped in there for sure. Thanks for your good question!

It’s a nice thing and I really wanted to like it but unfortunately, received yesterday, going back today. I have no issues with the cable and it seems to work fine but ice packs only lasting 7-8 hours is a disappointment. I knew not to expect this to stay cold for 3 days but at the very least half a day or more would have been great. I had purchased a second pack of ice packs but it’s still not enough as you are still stuck with the issue of having one ice pack not lasting very long so if you are going to be away for the day, you will still need someone to come in and feed your cat or at least replace the ice packs in the feeder. The Pet Libro fixes that issue by being refrigerated but it seems to be having other issues of its own so alas, back to being woken up in the morning to feed my little king 😂. Furthermore, the feeding tray is deep and not large enough for the depth it has. My cat did go to it to eat some kibbles we free feed him between meals but he had a hard time reaching the kibbles and had to get them out of the feeder to eat. This morning when it beeped for his wet food meal, he ran to the feeder, hunched down to start feeding and then simply turned around a came asking to be fed and I had to remove the food from the feeder and put it in his bowl for him to start eating. All in all pretty disappointed that it did not work.

Hi, I am sorry the Pixi didn't work for you and the King of the house :) This feeder is meant to be used for a mix of dry and wet food for the daily feeding of a cat. So you can leave the tray ready in the morning for the kitty and it will serve the feeding schedule of dry and wet food. This feeder is not meant to be loaded with wet food the night before with the wet food sitting in it all night long or leaving the cat alone for over a day. The feeding compartments are however, not very wide and cats with flat faces or large cats could have an issue with that, it worked well with my cat. Thank you very much for sharing your experience!

@ Then it kind of defeats the purpose doesn’t it? If it is to be used while I’m home then it adds no value whatsoever. I already have a dry kibble distributor for the free feeding between wet food meals. The purpose of getting an automatic feeder is to give the human some kind of freedom for the better part of a day when needed or to be able to sleep in while not depriving your cat of his morning meal. If it doesn’t serve any of these two purposes then someone needs to go back to the drawing board and think this through again. It is less of a hassle for me to fill a bowl three times a day then filling a tray in the morning and replacing the ice packs midday.

The Pixi works to feed your cat if you set the feeder for the day and leave for work. You can feed your cat wet and dry food or only wet food. To feed your cat only wet food you have a 7-hour window to do that since that's about how much the ice pack last. That means your cat can have wet food as breakfast and lunch. You can even spread out the breakfast in small meals (3) with some minutes apart and do the same with lunch (3) if you only want to feed your cat only wet food. If your cat wakes you up at 5 am-6 am for wet food in that case this feeder won't work or if you need to leave the feeder alone for a weekend with wet food.

Help please! My filter on the Robot 4 is screwed into the back part. I can't get it to open without taking out all of the screws. My Robot litter was changed today and it says it's 100% full and it's not. PLEASE can you help me? I'm so upset with this litterbox we've only had about two months now. I've changed the litter already, wiped it out well. There's no reason for it to keep saying this. All the lights look like they're pink? Thank you Patricia Lockwood

Hi, the Litter Robot 4 I have doesn't have any screws in the filter section and you can just open the lid with your hands easily so I can't help you with that since I don't understand how you have that issue. When replacing cat litter the app only says: Optimal, not full. The waste drawer says full when it's full of cat waste so maybe you need to empty the waste drawer. One suggestion, every time you replace the cat litter or empty the waste drawer you need to reset the unit so it recalibrates. Hope that helps.

On their site it shows an image of this going in the waste drawer but on the inside front side (using included magnet) - I think better because waste will weigh down on it where this video has it placed and possibly prevent its full use. It will still have the liner in front but loosely and air can get in/out.

Hi, the OdorTrap can be installed in many ways, I used this one that was the recommended way at the time when I made this video. Over time I changed the location and now I put it on the side of the drawer, it works the same either way to me. But yes, it can be installed under or on the sides or front. Hi, you can clean the Robot 4 using the spray and wipes, I made a video on how to do it kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKnTp2mEoa1lY9E but make sure the globe is not too dirty to do that. By hosing the globe off you do a deeper cleaning.

Also, make sure the bonnet is seated properly in the back of the litter-robot or the hopper won’t engage. That happened to me and once I repositioned the bonnet, the error message cleared.

I wonder if the opening for the litter to fall through can cause problems. Cant dirty litter get stuck in the hole when it turns?

Hi Sandy, nothing gets stuck inside the hole that won't allow the cat litter to fall through. Whas has happened to me is that occasionally (about twice a month) a clump could be too close to the big tab on the back and won't be dumped into the waste drawer, and will be back into the litter bed, but nothing gets stuck inside the hole. So no, the hole never gets blocked with anything.

Yeah, I used a photo camera without using flashlight at that time, this was one of my first videos, back in 2016 or 17. However, you can still see the absorbion and the clump being dumped which is what the Litter Robot needs for it to work properly.

I like these tips! I have 4 litter robot 4’s (I have a lot of foster kitties). I usually take apart two of the robots and put the glove and drawer outside where I scrub them clean and let them dry for 30 minutes before drying them off completely. I vacuum the inside of the robot, but totally forgot to check the bottom part for dirt!!!! Once those two are clean and running again, I do the same with the other two. But I’m so buying the odor trap for each one, cleaning the bottom inside portion, and adding the arm n hammer. I used to use the arm and hammer deodorizer when I had the hand scoop boxes so I should have thought of that 😂. Not sure how strong the fabuloso bags are, I’ll check them out next time at the store… I buy the scented bags at Costco since those are like 250 bags for $17 and I go through 4 bags every two days with the amount of kitties I take care of, but if fabuloso smells better/stronger, I’m going to switch! THANK YOU!!! ❤❤❤❤ I’ll let you know how it turns out ❤😊

It works well, no issues at all. The only thing is that it makes a loud noise when it dispenses so if your cat is very skittish, it may scare it.

I have small activated charcoal odor absorber bags next and behind it, also small air purifier, so every time they go number 2 it start running. You can put charcoal pieces inside the waste compartment.

Yes, I tried the bags but they ended up being too expensive for me. I actually place a piece of carbon filter inside the waste drawer together with the OdorTrap bag, it works well. Thanks for your comment!

I also have an air purifier next to my litter robots (I have four purifiers in the house), but the smell is so strong some times… especially when the cats who refuse to cover their 💩 do their business 😂
