Love the videos. I wish we had shore diving here in Myrtle Beach, SC. We are usually way offshore diving.

It is crazy that the pier is still like that
@OceansBlue3336 күн бұрын
@@andresmoves I’m fairly sure the pier is privately owned, and I don’t think they have the funds to fix it.

I haven’t seen the arrow jacks reef in 30 years It looks about the same which is good news, lots of biodiversity. It’s especially nice to see some live Florida Conch They’ve been “no take” since I was a kid, maybe they are making a comeback

I think you should go diving deeper because there’s so many lobster out there

I feel your pain. I went out at Lauderdale by the sea this morning at 6AM and only found 2. We found some shorts and eggers. I checked the webcam last night and saw multiple people in the water at midnight.

Great video. Have you noticed a decrease in sea life since last years hot temperatures or was this area left untouched?
@OceansBlue33322 күн бұрын
@@lethargicken7451 I would say it’s pretty much the same as last year. Some days better than others. This day seemed to have a lot more smaller fish. Maybe due to the rain runoff and all the nasty fresh water at the surface

Very cool video! I am definitely going there this weekend. Any tips on how I can find those reefs? I never been to this beach before, is there a sign or something that can help me find the reefs?

Awesome visibility after so much raining. I was there on the previous sunday Jun/09 and was pretty good too, we saw 1 small nursery shark, and lots of puffy fish. Nice video :) And of course we went to the whiskey bar on the end of the park 😅😊

Also, after reading up on this, it appears Florida reefs are dying rapidly. But go ahead and keep voting for people that don't give a crap about the environment. Such a shame.

I'm pretty shocked at how cloudy the water is. It hasn't rained significantly in a month, and yet the water looks so cloudy. Does the water ever get clear there like the Caribbean or is it always this murky? It remains that the Bahamas have far better water quality than the SE coast of Florida. Florida will never clean up the pollution. In 1850 survey reports from the US army show the water in Fort L was crystal clear even in all the inland waterways. Florida is an eco disaster.

I was looking for a structure that I call the Volkswagen Coral because it's shaped like a VW Bug. It's a little north of Oakland Park Blvd out from about the 3rd building up on the Galt Ocean Mile. It's always been my destination when I go out off Oakland Park Blvd.

Thanks for the great videos. I’m visit sunny Florida often and stay nearby to Dania Beach, in Hallandale. Are there any local shops in the area that or clubs that dive there regularly?
@OceansBlue3333 ай бұрын
Best to Google shops in the area you’ll be around and go to their webpage or social media for a list of their upcoming dives. Also, on Meetup app there are posted dives for South Florida Beach Divers, Nitrogen Junkies, Force-e Divers

I enjoyed your video of diving Fort Lauderdale beach. I visit this area often and dive with American Dream when I’m in town. I’ve never done any shore diving and curious if there are any groups or clubs in this area scheduled shore diving that an individual such as myself can join when I’m in the area.Thanks for the remora footage. Short questions here from Germany, Is the permanent surface buoy mandatory for dives in the US? And how much drag does it cause? I could imagine that you could possible need significant more air?
@OceansBlue3334 ай бұрын
Here in Florida it’s mandatory to have the red ‘diver down’ flag, either with the diver or displayed from a dive boat. With larger groups, it’s best to have more than one flag as the group will likely separate based on experience. The flag creates a little bit of drag, but nothing significant where you need more air. Actually it a good indicator of how strong the current is
