I love seeing you au naturel, Ben! Bald dudes ROCK, and I know because I married one! 😊 But I can also understand how traumatizing it must be to have that process begin at such a young age. My hair started suddenly thinning a lot (and it was not super thick to begin with) when I was in my early 40’s, which as a female was pretty devastating. I went to doctors and no medical reason was found, so it was chalked up to “genetics”, even though nobody else in my family, women or men, had experienced such pattern baldness at such a young age. It’s now been over 10 years and I have medication that helps a little, but I still have large thin spots, especially on one side of my head, and I get so anxious about trying to style my remaining hair in a way that covers them up. I’m hoping that one day I will reach an age where I just don’t care anymore. 😅 I hope you can make peace with your appearance because you are a beautiful person no matter what’s on top of your head. ❤️❤️❤️

Ben, I hope our conversation didn't lead you to anywhere you didn't want to go. This video is spectacular and feels so courageous, and I think people will love you all the more for sharing your vulnerability and for freeing yourself. It's amazing that you can look back and make light of some of the situations. They seem so traumatic, but it feels like by talking about it, you are putting it in the past and leaving all that behind. And you have a gorgeously shaped skull for baldness and it accents your beard even more in a masculine way than before, if that's even possible. I think if you don't let it bother you, it won't bother anyone else. If it does fuck 'em. Their opinions have nothing to do with your self-view or self-worth. But again, I don't think it will. You can now focus on more important things to you. And I agree, from time to time have new fun with new wigs and caps of all kinds, but don't lose sight of that lovely baldness. I'm so proud of you that you took this very bald, ahem, BOLD step. lol. Bravo!

This was great, Ben. First of all, I LMAO in this video, "hanging there like a ferret." LOL Not to diminish your message though because you're right, it is healthier (I think) for you to feel comfortable with the way you look naturally. That goes for all of us. And for what it's worth, I think you look great! I did have an idea -- you know how you love editing, old films, and acting out a scene? What if you acted out a scene from movies that feature bald actors -- Yul Brynner ("The King and I"), Bruce Willis, etc. Acting out a scene like that might help you internalize your acceptance.
