Originally from California, love what she's doing not just for students, but for her community. I think the only advantage for-profit schools have that look good on paper is the opportunity for manufacturer based programs. The only community college I've seen that offers multiple programs like Ford ASSET, Toyota T-Ten, etc is Tidewater Community College in Virginia. I think if more community colleges offered these, they'd offer that instant gratification you all discussed that seems to prevail in society today. I'm a student currently and my automotive program has a lot of local partnerships, but none of those manufacturer-based programs.

I also went to WyoTech in Wyoming. I went through collision/refinishing (paint and body), Hot Rod chassis building and Hot Rod fab. I went to upholstery also. I’m now in the advisors board for Upholstery at WyoTech. We help the school with what the kids need to learn and the tools they’ll need.

I went through automotive at UTI and got into the VW program when I was younger. I worked at a dealership for a couple of years and left because it was too assembly line like. I was in the hot rod and Kustom world and the dealership wasn’t really fun or challenging. I’m very detail oriented also.

I can't wait til someone here's these last two podcasts! Sometimes kids are just to stupid to listen to good advice... Sometimes they have to figure out in the end their dumb uncle actually had some wisdom and wasn't trying to hold them back!

Angelina is an amazing guest !! So much knowledge, caring, experience & energy … ya ya ya is going to be rattling around in my head for along time cause that’s when she gets excited about something !! Her & Eric are quite a power couple and that will be another show to hope for !! Thanks Guys ..

I went to UTI and left about 6 months in. They stuffed me into the diesel program, and I didn't want it, didn't sign up for it. To top that off, I aced the two classes the put me in, without ever caring to take it seriously. To be fair, I and the group of friends I made, didn't learn shit during the time we were there.

For the coil bind, we use washer/bearing combinations below the springs on some cars more for ease of adjustability, but they work on the bind thing as well.
