This film owes a lot to Psycho in many ways - two of my all time top 10 - and both on a tight budget

One of the best movies ever made. I remember thinking as a kid, "that's why you buy the Plymouth with the 318 V8 instead of the slant 6.

Great work friend. Loved this film since I was a small boy. I’m 55 very soon and still watch it fairly often. You can certainly tell Spielberg was heavily influenced by Hitchcock and the music is definitely a nod to psycho. Brilliant!!

Great job! Sehr gut! Love that you included the musical score-- very effective! We just drove through the Soledad Canyon tunnel a couple of weeks ago! Gave me goosebumps!

The movie script was written by Richard Matheson, the great suspense & horror script writer. It is based on a real personal experience: he and a friend were tailgated by a huge truck while getting home from a golf match, the very same day President Kennedy was assassinated.

To me the "now" is all worthless, if it isn't shot from the same angle as then for comparison. So I can't give it a like

Chuck’s Cafe is now a French restaurant. The gas station scene was filmed in Acton, California. Cool area, great film. It was fun driving through the tunnel through Soledad Canyon. I hope to do it again.

The clostrophobic feel of dred in this movie is nerve shredding, ....transport your self into weavers character, and just the sheer utter terror and disbelief at what is happening , must feel like your living out your worst nightmare.....the suspense of the cat and mouse scenario builds to a dramatic climax ....a simple format executed to brilliant effect ....classic
