I have an APC tattoo on my arm, and it's been there for maybe 23 years or so. I know APC is Billy's band, and I wish we could hear more ASHES dIVIDE in 2024

Idk if Ashes Divide is still around. They were a side project of Billy Howerdel and friends whose OTHER project was A Perfect Circle. I think Ashes Divide was a one hit enterprise. Meaning entirely too temporary. They were damn good. And never got the recognition that I think they shouldve.

I first saw this video when I was diagnosed with Bipolar/ Depression and had almost zero (healthy) support systems at the time. I felt strung up like Billy, I felt like I lost control of my own emotions and that I was just on a one way track to whatever was at the end of the line. All while being surrounded and driven through a crowd of other seemingly looking happy people in their perfect looking lives.

this album is so good. it feels like what a third APC should have sounded like. we finally got one in 2018 and man, I gotta say, I think it's awful. but that's just me.

Anyone noticed how the bridge at 2:37 sounds very much like Korn? From David Silveria’s typical percussion signature (think “Shoot and Ladders”) to the classic half step up-up-down chord progression (think “Trash”) with a a second guitar adding some dissonance. I’m surprised no one ever mentioned it before! :)

I love the tone of Billy's guitar, it's so rich and full and yet it sings both with beauty and vitriol. He has such a fantastic sound to his playing.

Man, I bought this album when it came out in 2007 or 2008 and fell in love with it.

A one of a kind

I remember when this album came out, I was so excited to see Billy frontman his own project. Here we are 15 years later, & I'm still just as excited. This album's solid af & the fact that so many people just happened to 'miss it' shows how many 'fans' are all about that image rather than the actual talent. Don't get me wrong; Maynard's as talented as they come, BUT, so is Billy, & the fact that the majority of APC & TOOL fans just didn't notice this is a tragedy. So much good stuff going on here.

Billy Howerdel has a unique way of playing but he can play a note and stretch the imagination with it. He's amazing!

I just realized one of the guitar sounds is just like in the song PET by APC. Never realized it before. I mean it's not surprising since it's the same guy but still it's odd I just now caught it. That's prolly why I liked this song so much the first time I heard it lol.

Omg I still love this song so much. Can’t believe a lot of people and music stations let this song fade away. It is a very damn good song. I remember the first day this video came out idk how many times I replayed I listened to it a shit load of times. It’s one of those songs that just hit hard and takes you on a journey that music these days just doesn’t do at all. This song will forever be a hidden Gem for us grateful few that know about it. 🤘🏽
