History has proven Galloway right with every syllable he uttered. Hitchens died a slug. History proved him to be a most pompous and well educated fool and whore of Empire.

At 15:30 the professor asks if there's a symmetry to the concept of no return from the heavens. In The Phaedo Plato does say this. 81a - ‘The truth is much more like this: if at its release the soul is pure and does not drag along with it any trace of the body, because it has never willingly associated with it in life; if it has shunned it and isolated itself because that is what it always practices - I mean doing philosophy in the right way and really getting used to facing death calmly; wouldn’t you call this “practicing death”?’ ‘Most decidedly.’ ‘Very well; if this is its condition, then it departs to the place where things are like itself - invisible, divine, immortal and wise; where, on its arrival, happiness awaits it, and release from uncertainty and folly, from fears and gnawing desires, and all other human evils; and where (as they say of the initiates in the Mysteries) it really spends the rest of time with divine beings. Shall we adopt this view, Cebes, or some other?’ ‘This one, by all means,’ said Cebes.

Hitchens did recant on some things after the truth came out later of the lies. But his agruement is warranted of why intervention was needed.

When you look back, it's clear to see that Hitchens' politics were guided by his animus against religiosity. The marxist who ends up as the mouth-piece for Bush, Cheney & Rumsfeld (because Islam managed to outdo the Christian Right as the black beast in Hitchens' mind). Anti-religion was the foundation stone of his life, no doubt in the wake of his mother's suicide in tandem with an Anglican priest.

The clearest sign of hitchens losing this debate is when he tries to threaten the audience with social disapproval by their families, and who knows else, because it's being filmed.

Searching for a Greek journalist in Whitehall may seem unusual, as it's unlikely to encounter Greek journalists in Britain criticizing the British government's actions in Cyprus and Greece. Conversely, British journalists have been known to critique Greek affairs in Cyprus and Greece. It is indeed bold for British individuals to visit Cyprus or Greece without acknowledging the historical tensions between these nations and Britain. Christopher Hitchens stands out as a British figure who candidly addressed British involvement in Cyprus and Greece, notably through his work on 'The Trial of Henry Kissinger' and Cyprus: Stranded in Time. The 1989 BBC documentary about the partition of Cyprus and its after-effects. Based on his 1984 book Hostage to History: Cyprus from the Ottomans to Kissinger. And I saw Mr. Galloway, question the British government regarding the presence of British forces in Cyprus Greece. Christopher Hitchens and Mr. Galloway are both exceptional public speakers, but I admire Mr. Galloway, also known as Lord Sir, even more for his bold stance before the US Senate..I would love hear Mr. Galloway, opinion about Christopher Hitchens and I would've loved to hear Christopher Hitchens opinion about Mr. Galloway, indeed. But nothing perfects. But I'm very happy and very grateful for both of them for speaking up for my family in Cyprus because the UK and US-Turkey relations suppress our voices.

A head of state for the top superpower in the world, two prime ministers, two greatest parliamantry institutions in the west and thier officials, advisors, strategists, researchers. Two intelligence agencies, two great military powers, one of whom is the greatest in the world, and all their resources, got Iraq wrong. A few including this man got Iraq right, but he got it too right, which made it too absurd and heavy to face, how could all of those fools, all of them, got it so wrong, and only him that got it too right to be even true. Unbelievable.

You can pinpoint the moment Hitch lost this debate, and it was when he dismissed the change of stance from Colin Powell out of hand. Here is one of the biggest cheerleaders of the war in Iraq changing his opinion on the war that he called for, and Hitchens doesn't give a shit. He's locked into his beliefs about this war come hell or high water, and to hell with anyone who thinks he is wrong. It's chauvinist defiant garbage, and honestly I expect better from a person like Christopher.

Well, Galloway is a heck of an orator. But... he's WRONG. On top of that, he's using emotional manipulation and oratory skill to win his points - his DEBATE POINTS are full of holes. First, he's calling Hitchens out for having a change of opinion over the course of decades. Here's the thing, though. Show me a man or woman who has all the same beliefs at age 40 as they do at age 20, and I will show you a man or woman who DOES NOT THINK. On the other hand, show me a person whose opinion changes who will actually stand up and admit it, and I will show you a person of courage. Second, the Iraqi people did not CHOOSE the government they were living under. Running some process and calling it an election doesn't make it one. Saddam was a dictator, pure and simple. As Hitchens has laid out many times, Saddam had routinely violated all four of the tenets violating any one of which justifies stripping a nation of its sovereign independence in the international community. No - I admire Galloway's debating skill, but he is in the wrong on this issue.

These two don't know Saddam was baited into a war with Kuwait because Kuwait was stealing Saddam's oil and Saddam went to the USA embassy and they told him they dont care. Saddam invaded Kuwait technically in the right, thinking the USA would not interfere. During Desert Storm Saddam fired Scud missiles into Isreal to bait them into the war which would have triggered the rest of the middle east into chaos. The USA kept Israel from retaliating and didn't want them involved. Im not defending Saddam's actions, just giving the truth
