Sounds like a solid business modal. My wife and I last two cars we bought were through Costco for the simple fact the price was the price and the car was exactly what we expected. That said we wanted a Hyundai but walked out of the dealership because they were flat out rude and screwing us. I over heard one of the dealers talking about how much they screwed a customer. They were selling cars 15k above msrp it was insane. Let me know when this dealership makes it to southwest Michigan id love to give you another try. The cars are sweet but I’ll never go back to that dealership until they’re out of business.

Turned out to be a piece of crap feature. Malibu are known to not restart, only sputter and die when you take your foot off the brake. No known fixes for this issue from Chevy. Local dealer even refused to look at my 14 malibu. Chevy has ignored the issue. Avoid 14/15 Malubus.
@loritobin2578 Жыл бұрын
I do not like the start/stop technology. There are a lot of instances where cars have been left stranded and the car didn't want to restart when people let off the brake pedal and the engine should've restarted. The newer malibu cars have an button in the dash that you can shut off this feature. Too bad my 2015 didn't have that button!

At a stop light or stop sign My 2015 malibu go's into the stop start mode like any other 2015 malibu. My big problem is that right after i press on the gas pedal the car starts to hesitate and dies out????? I have no codes showing me that the car is having anything wrong with it????? This is very annoying while sitting in traffic and your car dies out. Does any one else have a problem like this??? Or if someone else might know what is causing this to happen.

Replace your rear battery .. if the car dies could be a possibility of a bad battery not having enough juice to turn on the front battery to start the car again .. that little battery is the life of the vehicle in auto stop mode .. worth a try good luck might be a late tip but who knows might work

I bought my daughter a 2016 Chevy Malibu limited . I didn’t notice it had stop start and I hate it . There will be a time your in traffic on the highway and it turns off and doesn’t restart. It’s a time bomb . It’s going to wear the engine 100 times faster . I don’t see these cars going over 100,000 miles with out major repairs, I’m trading her car in as soon as warranty is up . Not worth the savings on gas to risk getting stuck on highway in rush hour traffic and getting killed . They didn’t think this one through. For those of you unlucky enough to have it buy a replacement battery for the 12 volt in the truck so you can swap it out in a pinch .
@anonymousinc63305 жыл бұрын
For those unlucky enough to get stuck with this BS, put the shifter in L or M, use '+' to set the dash display to the highest gear, and it will disable this. Supposedly works on any GM model with this BS.

AutoStartStop costs LIVES and dollars....FAIL. 2017 Ford NON-HYBRIDS will roll into traffic with the motor shut off!! We were almost killed the 4th day of ownership pulling out of our own driveway. Having a button to shut off Death Mode is inadequate. There needs to be an option to permanently disable this "feature" so you don't forget and wind up dead. I have notified nthsa.gov about this. Our vehicle rolled into traffic while making a left turn but the motor took over 4 seconds to turn on and reach torque. We were within a hairs breadth of being flattened by a semi. This is a Stupid feature to put on a NON-Hybrid vehicle. There is NO backup power from batteries when you move from brake to accelerator. A child could figure out this is a deadly design, why can't the high paid engineers in Ford's ivory tower use common sense. I also requested a buy back from Ford. They checked the vehicle and said it's designed to operate that way!?? Are they crazy?? Even worse, when people roll out into traffic and get flattened, Ford and police will claim they died due to Operator Error. In addition, it has gotten So Bad, the dealers are having their salesmen turn off this feature during test drives! We did multiple test drives at different dealers during the course of shopping and in every case the motor NEVER shut down until AFTER we drove it off the lot! So you don't even know you have A.S.S. til you drive off and suddenly your motor shuts down! It's a total scam!
@MikeBidwellCarsVideo7 жыл бұрын
I'm really sorry to hear that happened to you. That''s horrible. However, you obviously didn't watch my video. Both my wife and I drive a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu with the Start/Stop feature. Our cars have a secondary battery located in the trunk that keeps fluids primed, etc. while in auto-stop. When I remove my foot from the brake on my car, the engine is already running and powering the Malibu by the time my foot reaches the accelerator. Start/Stop (or Autostop) has been used in many vehicles since it's inception - both hybrid and non-hybrid - and the list is growing. If your story was the norm, this would not be the case. Again, I do not wish to take away from the horror of your experience, but if Ford messed up the Autostop feature in the Hybrid, that does not make the feature bad, but makes their version of it faulty. By that logic, the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 had a battery that would explode and catch fire would mean that a battery in a phone is a feature that is dangerous and costs lives, and should be discontinued. But no, the Note 7 was recalled, and we continue to have phones with bigger and better batteries. Thank you for your feedback, and sharing your story. It's never a bad thing to be aware of the dangers in the world around us. Thankfully, each manufacturer develops their own version of technologies as they grow. That's how good technologies grow and improve, and that's progress.

Then I noticed it again. If it sincerely is not going to auto-stop, look in your Driver Information Center Settings menu, and make sure it hasn't been turned off. If it hasn't, and isn't working, I would have a GM dealership take a look at it. I hope this helps.

There is no in-bed electrical connection for the gooseneck trailer. My only guess why they would do that is that each gooseneck owner might have a different preference as to where to put it. It will cost the owner an additional $200 to go to a trailer shop and have the adapter installed. There is an extension cord available for purchase as a temporary fix. I would be willing to bet many consumers of this truck do not realize you can not tow a 5th-wheel-camper with this truck. There are adapters for converting the camper's 5th-wheel hitch to a gooseneck hitch, but it expensive. but the real problem is the short-bed will cause the camper to damage the truck and vice-versa. Better to get a truck with long bed and 5th-wheel hitch if you plan to tow a big expensive camper.
@MikeBidwellCarsVideo8 жыл бұрын
+David Locklear That depends on the trailer. These days, there are many campers/trailers that are designed and built for the shorter boxes people prefer to drive day-to-day. However, your advice is well advised - make sure your trailer is designed for a 6.5' box, rather than an 8' box.
