I have a 2025. I love the center console. It was the primary reason I bought new instead of used. I can’t stand the fold down armrests. If I had to buy an older model, I was planning to rip out the armrests and install a center console. Luckily the 24/25 has fixed that problem.

Tacoma fan and owner for decades. Could not fathom jumping into a high priced, untested, 4 cylinder turbo 2024 tacoma so opted for the aspirated V-6 2025 Ridgeline. Picked up the black pearl RTL 2 days ago. The cabin size is a breath of fresh air. Ride is very non-truck comfortable. Seems so much roomier than the tight tacoma as well. Happy so far.

I’m 69 and I’ve owned trucks over every kind since I was 16. You could say I’m a truck guy. There was a time I might have agreed with the nay sayers. Not anymore. Aside from the work trucks I’ve owned, there are few times that a Ridgeline wouldn’t be big enough. I’d say that most truck owners never use a truck for what it’s built for. I’m seriously looking to sell my F250 to get a Ridgeline. Thanks for your video

I'm considering getting one of these, most likely used. However, in my research, I've found out about an issue that seems to affect around 75% of Ridgelines. Water entering the cabin through the back wall and/or above the rear window. I'm assuming you haven't had this issue? They say that at the factory, it's believed air got in the lines of the seam sealing robots. Worth mentioning, you can feel the wet carpet in the back seats; you have to pull up the sill plate and reach your hand under the carpet.

@@DB-ph5vk Please report back. I made a typo though. Meant to say, you *can't* feel the wet carpet and instead you'll have to pull up the rear door sill and feel under with your hand. @@DB-ph5vk I very much dislike the comically harsh ride. They made the suspension so rigid, likely for the sake of payload capacity. There are also so many rattles, a few of which the dealer has taken care of and add to that, the confused transmission. I've given Ford 2 chances recently (2022 Ranger and this Maverick) and I think I'm done.

Sorry to hear that. The Ridgeline is quite refined and the ZF 9 speed Transmission is seamless. I was sold after test driving it but then again I wanted a car that also does the truck stuff I need on ocassion. Look for an RTL or RTLE not the base RT and don't waste your money on the HPD or Black package. Best of luck to you.

I drove 1/2 ton, full size trucks for years. Having that experience, I've found the Ridgeline to be everything those trucks were and more. It's easy to get in and out of, drives like butter and is the most comfortble truck I've owned. I think the aesthetics could be improved, but I'm past the point of needing the coolest truck on the road. Pound for pound, it's the best truck I've owned.

Better handling because there's less side-wall roll over and very little change in the ride. I'm running 255/50/20 tires. The Honda Passport uses a 265/45/20 which is wider but lower profile resulying in a harsher ride

Did the leveling kit affect your sensors for adaptive cruise or emergency braking? And did you have to adjust your headlights at all for the new angle with the leveling kit on?
@parkwayclassics8443
@parkwayclassics8443 6 ай бұрын
Funny that you ask this question. It will not affect the ADAP system is it has to allow for heavy payload and changes in geometry unless you have a front end accident and need to re-calibrate the ADAP system. It's then that you have problems. I'll be doing a video on this soon. Headlights were just a tad too high (in a good way) but I never adjusted them

Hey guy. Excellent to know just hit engine stop and it goes to Park. Thanks !! And no torque steer, good. I got the 2024 Black Edition, before they maybe go to some vertical computer screen sticking up with electronic “virtual” buttons buried in the screen. Adaptive cruise, I’ll miss Subaru Eyesight trailing cars down to zero mph, I hear Honda kicks out at 25 mph. Maybe look at the Honda parts for color keyed, a bit 3 dimensional, body side moldings. Some protection from dingers and I like the looks. That and 3M stick on clear nose bra really protects hood from paint chips. Thanks for your honest info. Everyone just needs to figure out what is best for themselves and that’s that.

Thanks for your input ! For months I was all in on new Frontier, very quiet inside, that was nice surprise. Liked the trucky look. But winter snow and ice, going back to part time 4x4 kept gnawing at my brain. Rear end slip-sliding around, having to flick 4x4 knob on and off. For in town gray geezer not wishing to pull anything, mostly just haul an e-bike that weighs about 80 lbs with gear, the Frontier was overkill and larger turning radius, less power to the steering, not exactly optimal. In a matter of just two weeks, once I determined enough front legroom in Ridgeline, I totally switched to Ridgeline Black Edition fully loaded, is time for some coddling comfort on the roads of life. Good stereo, no fumbling with keys, cooled ventilated seats, heated steering wheel I’ve found I love when driving wife’s car. For myself, mostly FWD bias and heavy motor over those wheels, and a fully automatic solid kick in of the rear, is a good thing on snow and ice. Ridgeline sits at a really nice height, do not need a step ladder to get in. I look forward to rolling quite smoothly and with quiet roomy cabin on down the highways of life. Ridgeline looks to hit an overall sweet spot.

I'm glad you brought up the HPD package. Honda flooded their press fleet with base Sport models with HPD package and got so many KZbin reviewers complaining about the cost and comparing it to a Tacoma for the same price. Honda really should have put the RTL-E or Black Editions for the press fleets and just sent press materials about the HPD package. Interesting how so few "journalists" mentioned these other packages and instead just pooped on the stripped down, overpriced HPD sports
@parkwayclassics8443
@parkwayclassics8443 7 ай бұрын
Exactly..... If early reviews in 21' on the "Refreshed" Ridgeline would have been on the RTL or RTLE the press and the KZbin world would have been raving about how much value was there. But as you mentioned, Honda was releasing base sport models with the HPD package that misleads people into thinking it has added off-road prowess (which it doesn't) and it does nothing but run the price up.

Firestone Destination tires have a great all-season tread design but get noisier with age and dont wear anywhere as well as they'd lead you to believe. I ran a set on my previous Jeep Grand Cherokee as well as my Wife's Jeep Liberty, replaced at 40k. Only got up to 12k before I put the 20" rims with Goodyear tires on the Ridgeline so I didn't notice them getting noisy.
