So watching this I was like hmm, I think I have seen this before and come to find out, I have. But idk how many times I watch this I am still excited to see the kids excitement of seeing the inside of any emergency apparatus. That for me was the best part of being in the Emergency Services Field was the " Show and Tell" whether at a School, the Station or out at the scene of a call. Getting to see the kids smiling and be excited was always what made it well worth it to me.

Lot's of money. How often is it actually dispatched to a state with a week long event going on? Secondly could it be done cheaper? For a city of wichita and our county this seems like to much.

WOW I went on a ride along with WFD firestation 1 a few months back and there was also a reported structural fire, there were 2 trucks, Maybe 5 or 6 engines, the battalion chief that responded along with the truck that is in place to manage the fire. It turned put to basically be nothing but it was incredible to go with them and go all around with the lights and sirens on 😅😅

interesting station for sure. Pretty average size to what we're used to. Thus e.g. I live in a village of 10,000 inhabitants and the volunteer FD has 10 vehicles 5 containers and 3 trailers. Staffed stations in the cities usually come with 20+ vehicles. Largest in state was just upgraded from 47 to 55 bays. One thing which I think looks really odd is the common room at 1:10 in the video, with the beds scattered throughout the room Love the color scheme on the apparatus!

It's so wild to me that they wouldn't count on volunteers even in such remote areas. Rather trying to work with 4 dudes for an hour.
