Hi Mark. I wish you well. I was sectioned 30 years ago and am still on meds. i'm also alive, I'm reconciled with my family, I've walked both daughters down the Isle, and have 3 grandchildren. I religiously stick to my meds , I discuss them but don't argue! Hope that helps. All the best

he kinda reminds me of my great uncle when he was still alive, he fought against the Germans in the Dutch resistance. he would never really talk about it tough, due the things he saw/did back then. but he always kept the same kind of humor expression as i see on Ted Owens. its a shame his last years were so terrible for him due alzheimer

What a fantastic man. A true old soldier with. a wealth of stores to tell. His green beret was his most proud possession. 60/70 years after getting it and it's still his most precious! That says it all. Those young lads would have been inspired by this. I know I was ! Beet of the best, second to none.

WOW, just WOW. I just wish all the recruits had together come to attention to honour that gentleman. I hope they remember that hero during their training when it get a bit tough and draw inspiration from him. I know it's been 5 years ago and many of this intake have likely been to hot climates but I heard a saying that stuck with me and is one of my favourites. It is especially applicable to the Royal Marine Commando. *A champion gets up when he can't.*
@Sam-ch9mn3 жыл бұрын
Good saying. And these young recruits are going to learn that the point at which they can't get up is much much farther than they think now.
