Thanks for the video, I've bought a copy from a local second hand store, they couldn't open it up cus policy and stuff as they said, but they had a 2 days return policy so I thought that even if it's fake I can just return it. I am so glad I got a good one. I wouldn't mind necessarly if it's a fake, but I know that 9/10 times they have issue. Anyway back to the point, thank you so much for the video :). Also the blowing thing it's actually working as dust can stop the cartrige from making proper contact. Though small thing to note, it is said that doing this can affect the contacts because of the moisture and it's recomanded to use canned air, but if after 25 years they still works... I don't believe in the "blowing is bad" thing.

For the record, Blue came out after Red and Green and fixed a lot of the glitches in the original releases, with Yellow coming out after Blue (naturally)

I bought one some time ago, opened it, and it looks like an original. However, the sticker is not reflective, which makes me think they refurbished it ( the battery has been re-soldered for example ). UK version.

I've just finished Pokemon Green which I bought whilst in Japan. Because I knew I was gonna finish it soon, I purchased a Japanese version of crystal from ebay because I really wanted to continue the classic journey and keep using my Japanese. When it arrived I had a look at it an instantly thought something was strange! The big Suicune symbol on the back, I knew I had to find my original European version to compare because I never recognised it before, and would you believe it, it didn't exist on the European version! I was curious if this was an actual design or perhaps some weird remake since the insides looked so different and the cartridge having two screws too. But since I found this video I was able to see that it isn't the case and is in fact genuine, which I think is awesome! unfortunately I only have CR1616 batteries which I used for replacing Green's batteries and will have to wait till the CR2025s come, ahaha. Thanks for sharing the comparisons, really cool!

Year ago i got my first gameboy and i straight away wanted pokemon gold, i tought that a purple gba cart with a sticker from pokemon gold was a real copy and a bought it, now i realized that you need to pay around 50$ for pokemon gold, not 5$.

Seeing the prices of these I might just start learning Japanese

my opinion is its dosent matter if its a fake green in eyropean. its actually good to have a complete set of them. i dont mind if i had it in my collection. its a same that Japan didnt release it to eyropean too. anyway good to know some info ;)
