No we didn’t, it’s one that picks up your registration as you drive in and there’s parking payment machines next to the arena and you pay on your way out.

It’s one of those venues where all the seating gives a good view of the stage, the gig I was it was standing in the stalls area. Sometimes if you sit in the middle there can be cables going down to the sound desk, so I’d be tempted to say sit just to the left or right of centre. Hope that helps 👍

The biggest rip off of all time. Too far from City centre. If using trains, you need to leave before the end of the concert or you'll miss the trains. It's a disgrace, don't go.

just recently Enter Shikari played to a full house it was a full on show ( i was doing lights for the support band ) while not being an E.S. fan they were very good the venue Reeks of history and really deserves better being a small/mid size venue its got alot to offer but being a bit off the beaten track gets overlooked

I went there to see Liam Gallagher in June and I`m sorry but I`m not a fan of this arena at all. First the car parking is over priced and an nightmare to get out. There wasn`t an attendant to be seen and it was a free for all with many window down arguments taking place. The seats are cramped with the drink holders are stupidly placed in the middle of the arm rests so you are constantly hitting it with your elbow. If the lights are off going up or down the steps in the top tier is damn right dangerous. I saw more than one person nearly take a tumble. The food and drinks prices are the most expensive I have seen outside London. I got one pint and 2 cokes and it cost £ 19.00. That`s about 25% more than the Liverpool Arena for example and the food options on the upper level were extremely limited as you said. As for your comment about people videoing I for one would welcome a ban on it. I go to gigs to watch the band not to look at a forest of arms and bright screens. I wish all artists would the same thing. The best thing about the place is the sound quality which was fantastic.

I didn’t, when I’m at a gig I only video a couple of tunes as I do like to enjoy the gig, and it’s a lot better to do that when your looking at a screen, but big girls was very special, he came up onto the balcony we were on. 👍
