I just played this on my Commodore. Eventually you can trade places with Herman and Grandpa in the game, but I am not sure what the objective is either.

Wow I remember playing this game a lot back in the 80’s of Chicago as a kid. There is one C64 game I’ve never been able to find, it’s similar to movie scene creator but you had sprites to place on a screen to make a “scene”, the only thing I remember is there was a sprite you could place of a grandma in a chair, very vaguely. No idea the name, too many C64 games

Actually, there is more to that glitch. Whenever the truck manages to deposit you on the side of the road, where it's rough, you could safely drive over the grass as long as you didn't first make it to the road itself (if your car stopped shaking, it would no longer be safe to drive on the grass). Of course, the same can be said for the margin; as soon as the car stops shaking, going back into the grass would kill your car. Even better is that while you could safely drive on the screen margin, the potholes made by the helicopter's grenade would not scroll down to destroy your car. The best use of that trick would be to build up extra lives.

Sorry for everyone who disagrees, but the sound at 4:47 was and still is one of the coolest sounds in computer history.

What always annoyed me about this game is that they made all the Munsters green, when Lily was actually white and Grampa a light blue. Of course, you couldn't tell from the show, but there were plenty of pictures and a movie that were in color.

Nice video, I played this as a kid. Use the electrodes "E" to get TOLR as low (close to zero) as you feel like spending energy on. If it reaches zero, the object will be destroyed. Then, use the lasers "L" to get TEMP to around 1000. Then you can use the Sonics "U", to increase the WGHT and VALU... or, you can continue raising TEMP with the laser. If you have an object where the value is getting close to 9999, and you're using the Sonics... if you stop at 9800 and sell it, you'll get more energy than if you raise the value to 9999 (which triggers a red obelisk). You can also get Red Obelisks by raising the temperature really high. If you get between 4000 and 9999 for value, you probably have a Red Obelisk and can stop and hit "RETURN" to store the object. That's as much as I've figured out. I have no idea what the Percussion Caps do "F". There used to be a guide out on the internet somewhere that went more in depth on what to do, but I can't find it anywhere.

It's been at least 30 years since I've played this game though. Thank you for uploading this, I used to play this as a kid as well, hearing those sounds brought back so much nostalgia for me.
