First of all, this really feels like a Richard Williams film. You gotta love that. Second, just today, I had to turn down a date I thought would work out (she even confessed her feelings....😢) due to circumstances. But watching this film somehow gave me encouragement that perhaps this could be a chance to find someone better in the most unexpected places. Thank you to Neil Boyle and the team for this little gem.

I feel like i seen the animation type in all the different animation studios we know and love I can see disney Cartoon Network Nickelodeon and the Iron Giant too

Ive always loved this animation, and I KNOW the blind date is supposed to be unsympathetic because he comes across as a catfish (as well as disrespectfully getting that drunk before a date), but he went through SO MUCH and still intended to waltz in there and try to woo Rosie -- I found that to make him sympathetic enough that I wish he had stumbled across a woman of his calliber (maybe she's just fallen flat drunk on the sidewalk with the same brand of beer) for him to hit it off with for all his trouble 😂 he deserves a win and there's plenty of women out there that do the exact same stuff. Im a sucker for "unappealing" animated characters being with someone just as unconventional as they are. Love is for everyone, even the poorly dressed and drunken couch potatoes 😂😂

Wouaw... I just discovered it and I LOVED IT !!! What a masterpiece, the animation is perfect, it reminds a lot of The Thief and the Cobbler, and I love that movie (I know that Roy Naisbitt worked on both of them, and also on Who Framed Roger Rabbit, btw, so a Richard Williams' team member) Just amazing, I wish I make such a cartoon one day ! 🔥🔥🔥

This is very reminiscent of the Thief and the Cobbler movie. That movie also has very detailed illusions and backgrounds contrasted with cartoon characters. The illusion subway stairs part was the first thing I noticed but also the ending scene of the blind date getting back to the apartment is the last scene of the thief getting slung around the One eye army. Like used the same animation cells type of same. And the legs kicking up is similar in animation timing when the thief goes toes up various times. Anyone who likes this will also like that movie, it was my favorite growing up. Neil Boyle has a very distinctive touch to his works.

I love love love this film, the style of the movement and the scenery (ESPECIALLY the train station) is very reminiscent of that old film that was never released (The cobbler and the thief. I forget who created it) and the sound was wonderfully produced with the perfect blend of music in order to enhance the story telling and the realistic sounds. The voice acting of the girl was so cute as well, i loved the line “a STRONG cup of tea”
