i think the lighting for the hotcues is a clear downgrade functional wise in club environment. was much better to see the sqare around then just a little stripe somwhere on the button. and if - it should have been exactly in the middle. as in theory when its dark and you just see the stripe you just can guess the correct position of the button. seems they were a bit overmotivated to make it less flashy

Thanks for the video, I just picked up a couple of SC5000M decks. Would you recommend I use a Denon X1800 mixer with these decks because I want to use in stand alone mode don’t want to use a laptop. Thanks

hey man thanks for the video! Im struggling with this quiet some time , did what you and other people told me to do , but its stil not working.. when i put the gris on the right spot with the right bpm , the grid still changes out of beat.. please help!

Do you still have the 6000, have your rubber coated buttons started to go sticky like they are covered in glue? I've had problems with this rubber coating on electronics before and had to strip it off with methylated spirits.

Great review mate,I was on the fence whether I needed the 6000m but after your video I realized its not a huge difference and the 5000 is more than plenty to mix properly and still get the vinyl touch. You da man!!!!

I agree, I don’t enjoy using Tidal that much on the SC6000. Half the time you download the song, the BPM info doesn’t stay. Using Serato with Tidal is a breeze.

I just sold both my Sc5000m's and went with the 6000m's, the screen is brighter on the Sc5000m but everything else is better on the 6000m's but not by much. You can't go wrong with either. The larger screen makes a difference for my 50+ eyes. The 6000m is definitely less flashy. Everything is on point in this video.

I just scooped up a pair of sc5000’s because the price dropped by half. But I’d like to know your thoughts on the 6000m? I also have the Prime 4 which I began to like after 2 weeks or so. I just feel like Denon could have done better on the scratch algorithms. Any feedback would be helpful.

I agree with you on the scratch algorithm. However, this is something that has a workaround and it only sounds a bit off when your move the platter really slow. As a workaround I have my house music playlists on Engine Prime and my Hip hop on Serato. NOTHING matches Serato for accurate scratch algorithms.

Only certain music providers supported. Remember, these features depends on whether both parties can agree on a deal that benefits both parties. For example, Apple at the moment don't want to open Apple music to dj software, because it would open a way for people to hack music for free.

Last time I tried, No. The Denon product manager however said a week ago that it is on their road map to add the same functionalities to the streaming services as they see streaming as the future of dj'ing.

I can invest money mew denon products ( more affordable) I will choose 2nd hand pioneers Cdj 3000 is not my dream anyway =) great video.... Some people complain about denon gear not much strong.... These days denon are not in stock

Do the platters of the 6000Ms have any play in them? forward-back side to side ?

My 6000m platter have no play at all. However, my one disc's clip mechanism leaves a slight gap, which makes spin backs or scratching too loose. can be fixed by adding an extra paper or wax slipmat underneath the disk.

Can you see if your platters have any wobble to them? I’ve had an issue trying to get some Ms brand new but they all came with wobble/play in the motor plate that the platter attaches to

When your testing the track loading speed, you're definitely not loading the same tracks on both decks. The track lengths and titles give it away lol

That doesn't matter, because the difference in loading spread was so negligible, the argument still hold. You don't have to be anal about everything if it doesn't matter. Its about showing there is no significant loading time difference, whether the tracks are the same or not. So there is no give away, gotcha or anything to 'LoL' about mate.

Big like for this video ... I'm fan of Denon dj and used 3700 long years ... now I'm thinking to come back to DJ'ing and still love Denon ...... found 2 5000m player for the price less than 1 pc new 6000m .. this video was help me to decide to buy the 5000m set :)

The SC5000's are still a great option in 2021 now that they are significantly cheaper than the 6000's and you're still getting the functions. Not every DJ has hands like King Kong

Its all about preference. Some learnt to scratch on turntables, so they would normally prefer a bigger platter. Some learnt to scratch on cdj's so the small platter is not an issue.

The SC5000 units are STILL GREAT. Mind their low prices and full software support - you get all the same features. I don't need the bigger screen or jog/wheel. Ofc the SC6000s are also amazing. And they all blow the Pioneer trash out of the game :)

I completely agree, Pioneer is over rated , I got the xdi 700 and got rid of em and Ill Get the 5000 ones, I also prefer the small ones.

Xdj 700 and 5000 ones they are now nearly the same price and the difference is huge I won't buy anything else from pioneer. I have also opened the pioneer mixers and Allen and heath xone92 and the pioneer one looks a toy in comparison with the xone92. They got advantage from have become the standard and this should change, Also few clubs provide turntables nowadays, people like who play on technics have more issues so as to play and gigs, and that's a real shtttt

Answered every question I had regarding me wanting to use a SC5000M and SC6000M together and hoping they can both use Tidal and use the same music from the internal HDD on the SC6000M. The different sized platters is a lil bit of a deal breaker for me but that's purely preference
