Russia is trying to help Assad as well because they have their interests in Syria, mainly the Seas ports in the north. However, they are also too busy in their own wat in Ukraine. Let's find out if Damascus will fall as well. The end of Assad regime may be near. I don't know they nature of these rebel forces and what and who they are made of. Is it partially ISIS? Will they try to attack Israel if successful taking over Syria? Time will tell. It's amazing how the tribal instability is shaping up the reality there. Who's friends and who's enemies?
