Beautiful confession, Eli. Cliff Knechtle has been a huge help for me as a new Christian myself.

I think this entire teaching needs to be thrown out and start with the truth and what I mean by that is start with the word homosexual wasn’t in the Bible until 1946 and then address the issue around the words that were in the Bible and why homosexual was chosen as translation for those words and arguments that it is a mistranslation that has caused harm. Although i admire you and thank you for lots of what you’re saying but the complete truth around homosexual and the Bible should be told by the church. I definitely appreciate how you explained struggle I’ve been gay my entire life it took me many years to understanding of myself being gay isn’t a sin just like being straight isn’t a sin being a woman or a man or transgender isn’t a sin being blind, deaf, short, tall, living in Spain or living in Greenland none of these things are sins. In the end we will all be judged for our own sins so are we so wrapped up in try to condemn sins of others and not working on eliminating what God reveals to us our sins are. What you fail to mention is that the word homosexual wasn’t in the Bible until 1946.

Very good message, when I read about the anger of Jonah I found it hilarious, being so furious that death is desired was too much for me. Now I understand why, and can see some things that happened in modern times in a better light. I was led to look into your church by a coworker who is getting ready to be baptized soon, Emily C, she and I have spoken about spiritual things, she is the only one I work with that I feel comfortable sharing Christian things with, the only other believer there as far as I can tell. The most difficult people to forgive for me are 1: my parents, they were wanting me to visit more often, but I didn't have a working vehicle so had online purchases sent to their house so there would be reason for a get together, then they said that I was to find my own way there in order to get the items. 2 An assistant pastor at the church I was a member of for over 10 years met me at the door to the church one Sunday, and said to me that the person I had brought with me was to leave the property immediately or the police would be called. The man I brought had been at my house for a few weeks after being made homeless by people he stayed with, and the Friday beforehand wanted to take all of his medication in order to die because of how miserable he was. I shared the Gospel with the man, and said that I knew of a place where people would accept him, and he agreed to come to church with me Sunday morning. There was a person that attended who had a restraining order that I didn't know about, but what mattered is the man's soul that was ready to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and some form of compassion should have been offered at least. God bless you brothers 🙂

This is bigoted homophobic unscientific and ignorant teaching, at best.

I hope this does not sound trollish. Your channel is not my soapbox. I am a LGBT person. I consider myself a Christian, but I know that many others disagree. Even though we disagree on this, I wanted to say that I wish you all the very best and hope good things happen to you - no matter what. I think most of us wish that - and it's easy to forget.

It's unfortunate God didn't answer your prayer with giving you the knowledge or discernment on this issue before you decided to preach on it. Since you say yourself you're no expert on this subject, it's best you leave it alone.

I just listened to the July 26th 11:00 service. (I was in the Adirondacks) I am again in awe of your explanation of the law and it's role. It is so clear and points to the need for salvation because of our tendencies. Thank you for the clarity of your messages Nate!

I appreciated Pastor addressing the point about the various styles of music. The church I attended now in Buffalo is stuck in the traditional music mode. Glad you addressed this situation. I shared church with my sister and Becky Hamilton. Neither one of them has a computer but they were able to listen in though my phones. Becky enjoyed hearing the little ones on zoom.
