The launch is not critical to achieving a high mile / hr. This is not drag racing with the goal of the lowest ET, this is all about MPH land speed style of racing. All of these 1/2 mile cars including the GTRs and Lambos do not launch the car aggressively, it is just un necessary abuse to the car and can damage the drivetrain.

Will this cause a misfire on just one cyl? I hit a set of tracks coming home and get p0304 I did plugs coils and checked harness nothing found. Leaning towards injector or inlet boot?

Weird that there isn’t an X required in the roof section of the cage
@rallitek_officialАй бұрын
Most hill-climb organizations do not require any roll cage of any kind. It can vary from org to org in the USA. The rules are generally similar to a HPDE or track day event.
@billbaxter392Ай бұрын
@@rallitek_official I see. I’m building a focus for ARA right now, there’s a lot to that cage. Not necessarily complicated, just a lot going on there.

Seriously i have no clue why your trying to teach people the most difficult way of doing this. The average person is going to struggle massively trying to replicate your "easy" results. I watched someone turn a quick hour job into a 2 day event trying to follow this horrible method. We broke a couple pieces accidentally too, which definitely wouldn't have happened if we did it the correct way. Oh did i mention it needs cut after we fought it into place? So it has to come back off again, i was like 5 hours into it already so i was over it for the day. so thanks for pushing your unnecessarily idiotic way of showing someone how to cut corners.. 😡i had to keep my month shut and struggle for hours in the sun while my buddy tried your way.. to the normal person, if the manifold is too intimidating to take off you probably shouldn't be installing anything on your car anyway. 😐 in no way is this the correct/common way of doing this.

12:12 DO NOT replace that hose with plain vacuum line there is a restrictor pill in the OEM hose.
@3DPrintable5 ай бұрын
Can you tell me more about what exactly the restrictor pill is in? I have my whole manifold off now to change out the turbo inlet but Prior i was getting a code p0244 for overboost and I read in the forums about the restrictor pills and Im wondering if the previous owner changed it out by chance. Thanks
@ericwiedenhoft1845 ай бұрын
@@3DPrintable it slows the charge of air from entering your waste gate actuator too rapidly and opening your waste gate prematurely. You should be able to feel it in the line coming off of the small nipple on your turbo I dont remember if it is before or after the "T" fitting.
@3DPrintable5 ай бұрын
@@ericwiedenhoft184 I am indeed over boosting, my stock boost control solenoid had an air leak from the crimped oring head so I re crimped it but the main fix I am going to try is the Cobb stage one LOW WASTEGATE so it opens up earlier because as far as air lines nothing has a leak (smoke tested) I just feel like the car is making stupid power and is working but the air coming out the wastegate is not coming out fast enough perhaps
@ericwiedenhoft1845 ай бұрын
@@3DPrintable an overboost situation would not be caused by a missing restrictor pill, I'm afraid.

Nope, the room has 8 large industrial fans for fresh air you can't see in the celing along with (4 ) 3000 cfm fans on a rack also not shown in the video. The small 20-inch house fan seen in the video is for moving radiant heat out of the engine to allow the large fans to work more efficiently. Don't judge before you have all the facts.
