I’m in band, and I have a question (even tho I’m a musician lol) so like, in my band, the bass drums actually vibrate and make a big boom, but why in this, they sound like.. a solid? Idk I don’t like it as much, but it’s a genuine question, why does it sounds like you are hitting a table, instead of a big boom that’s felt in the chest? Is it because of the size of the sticks?

Why do the middle schoolers think there so great? At my school we start in 6th grade to learn the instrument them in 7th-12th you're automatically in marching band, concert, and you have to play at pep rally's. I know I'm not the best (I'm in 7th grade btw) but I have to learn to not be a dying fish so the band actually sounds good. There's 2 drums, 3 saxophones (tenor and 2 alto), 1 baritone (me), 1 trombone, 3 clarinets, 1 trumpet, and 2 flutes.
