Chemistry is also not as popular as it used to be - quite a few UK universities have closed their departments entirely in the last 15 years

@@gurchyy that's interesting! I thought there was so much funding in chemistry these days (tbf in comparison to physics everyone has great funding 😂😂😂 )

In UK at least it's mostly medical and biosciences, traditional inorganic chem (and physics) getting a much smaller slice of the pie. May be different elsewhere though! I agree though physics is very much alive! So much we still don't know.

Thank the anti drug agencies for banning home chemistry and real kids chemistry sets. Lucky us we have no more drugs anymore! .....wait 🤔

Helium is the ideal nucleus. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

Just a small correction: several times I say helium atom but that means electrons would be included! What I meant to say was the helium nucleus! Small but important amendment!

I thought it all meant nothing. Because the symbol itself is made to be meaningless but memorable so we can give meaning. So i guess this is the representation after the fact?

But in this case, its actually worse. The electrons are stolen, and the thief is actually creating a Stockholm syndrome type situation, in which the victim actually is more attracted to the thief.

Calling neutral a state of charge means you cannot say things like charged particles moving in a magnetic field are deflected (as one example), making oral communcation way more annoying. But, I honestly don't think it matters other than from a semantic/definitional standpoint.

More commonly , negative electric charge is a amount of destroyed degrees of freedom (Earth has -1 electric charge like electron in my opinion, motion along Sun-Earth line is forbidden (-1 dof) ). I receive nice equiation: C=A-B; C - electric charge A - number of destroyed dof after B - number of constructed dof before Earth C=1-2 Sun C=1-0

Everything is traveling fast relative to other things. Even if we were traveling a billion miles per second through space, we would appear as perfectly still to us. Matter does not change based on relative velocity. Time is tied to space. Spacetime. This is the forward arrow of events in the Universe. A giant recorder. All events large and small are recorded by time. Is this event recorder imaginary' What is the velocity of time? Can the velocity of time be changed? Reversed? Does time, the great event recorder, exist to record our human choices? Part of a test by an external life creator?
