I'm seeing 3.9 hours for both valve covers... depends on hourly rate in your area.

Just finished the same job in my driveway. The ones I took off were these same OESpectrum shocks. They weren’t leaking and still felt fine but they both developed a horrible squeak after a few years. I went back in with KYB. This is one of the few videos I’ve seen where the lower ends were installed first, which makes this job way easier than getting the uppers first. If anyone wants the Honda torque specs, the lower is 58lb-ft and the uppers are 33lb-ft.

Thanks for the star bolt size. I started on my car and then realized i needed that socket! It's the only bolt like that! Weird design for sure.

Look in owners manual for jack points under the rocker behind the front wheels on either side.

Had a P0420 code on my son’s 2010 Altima 2.5. Thought it was O2, Air/Fuel or Manifold/Catalytic. NOPE. This is exactly what I did this weekend. It’s a $28 ring gasket at the Nissan dealership. $14 + $14 shipping. I know, crazy. But it beats a Nissan Exhaust manifold ($800) or Nissan Air Fuel sensor ($150+) or Nissan O2($200+). Put car up on ramps, had my son hold the shop vac in the exhaust, covered the other exhaust tail pipe with duct tape, soapy squirt bottle at the location just like this video, bubbles! Torched the 3 nuts, used a breaker bar and broke them loose, removed the 2 hanger bolts to get the extra space needed to get the exhaust off the studs. Removed old ring gasket, installed the new one, tightened them up with my battery 1/2” drive impact. Started the car up, DONE. Check Emgine Light was gone instantly, I didn’t even disconnect the O2, it was gone immediately. $30. Amazing! Thank you!

I changed my fluid last night and today a big spill of trans fluid appeared on my driveway. I’ve put the RTV and a new gasket on and it still leaks, can anyone help me out?
@RobertJene17 күн бұрын
I'm trying to do this on a Buick LeSabre, it appears that the lock nut is part of the outer tie rod (integrated). Have you ever seen this before?
@CharlesAndCars17 күн бұрын
I've never seen that. I'm guessing the lock nut is just locked up at the inner end of the outer tie rod end... A torch is your best friend to heat it up to break it loose.

Its annoying how they are front and rear but everywhere online calls them left and right. This makes no sense. I shouldnt have to order both if I only need to change the front one. I have no idea why they are labeled as left and right.

Great video I just want to comment about 2 things. Number 1 I was always under the impression that you should remove the master cylinder cap before pushing the brake piston back in due to pressure build up. I don't know if this is an old wives tale or not. And number 2. Pointing out that there is a difference where the wear annunciator is mounted on the drivers side and passengers side brake pads. Again a nice detailed video.

Thanks for the great video. Going to attempt this same repair myself. When you were bleeding the system did you have the other end of your tube in the antifreeze or was it just sitting in the funnel? Wasn’t sure if it would suck more air if I don’t put the tube down in the antifreeze inside the funnel.
