As a bmpcc4k owner and checking all the reviews of the new 6ks pros etc I am really thinking about buying a second bmpcc4k just as a backup and walk around run and gun work horse with a lumix 20 1.7 for example. Change my mind.

Nice vid. I think your maths is out on the long end of the sigma. Isnt it closer from 18-35 to 24- 50 ish

@@dangerrayy Thanks. Yes you are correct, the lens with the metabones does a 25-50. But with pixel by pixel activated at 50mm you get an additional 17mm or so.

Lovely shots!! I was wondering if the speedbooster combined with the EF lens makes the image quality any worse than if you would use the lens on an ef mount, and what focal length and f-stop this translates to? Recently bought a GH7 and trying to figure out whether or not to go with mft lenses or use a speedbooster. Thanks!

@@sam_van_hecke Thank you, happy for such comments. I only use the speedbooster for the advantages of being closer to fullframe and get more light on the sensor. So depending on what tou shoot, you might benefit from considering a speedbooster. If you know you will record in tight or close spaces and want a wider image or might not control if you will be in dark areas or not, a speedbooster is much worth it. If you do hobby in daylight and can compose your images, I’d say enjoy the fun of a wide selection of mft lenses and you can always switch.

@@AdamGell Thanks mate! All handheld. The IS is made for photography so it’s a challenge to film on a long zoom because the stabilization ”jumps into places” in order to give opportunity for a still-photo. This ”jump” looks unnatural and is very hard to stabilize in post, especially at 24p. So you have to be very still when recording on long zooms. I recorded all this with the help of my neckstrap, got a video on my channel om how I stabilize the bmpcc4k like this. Weight is not a problem to carry around, all I’m worried about is the camera itself carrying a heavy lens if something bends inside the housing. But I’ve been carrying the sigma lenses on this camera alot for a long time and so far everything is as solid as when I bought it. The zoom doesnt lock though so when you walk around with the camera on the shoulder, the lens will extend by itself. The Canon version has a lock I heard, I would recommend it for this reason and also because it has better weather seals. I just got the sigma on a good deal. Long answer! Good luck :)

I have the same setup but my Sigma does a rather unsettling tickytackytickytacky-sound nonstop when I put it to AFC. Its like the motor i struggling against something. Dunno if the lens is wierd or the settings.. It does work tho, but it doesnt feel right.

Thank you . High value cameras, v-log is the easier log-profile to colorgrade compared to other brands, at least to my experience. Work smart, not hard ;)

@@gthm777 Thank you. I was quite surprised myself to be honest with the colors. The PDFA works well when the metabones is updated to firmwareversion 4.10, I made a video about it on my channel.

Man I love Lumix, came from a lifetime of Cannon but the Lumix and Sigma glass is so nice. Clean clear and detailed. The Fuji is interesting but man this combo is KING!

@@shawncarter253 Thanks mate! You need to choose this rec quality: ”FHD - 60p - 420/10L” go back and pick variable framerate ’on’ and scroll up to 300. I saved it to a Custom mode. Maybe there are other ways but thats how I did it.

@@DOMINICPOWER-f7x I used is yesterday in a blackbox and got nice isolated vocal recordings with a shotgun mic, but it was 30cm above the camera. I haven’t done surgical tests but no issue so far. Outdoors with ambient sounds I can’t hear it with a shotgun on top of the camera-cage.

@@TiagoRosa-u2n It turns is into a 25,5-49,7. Which I think is brilliant. 25mm does the cinematic immersive wides without being too wide and the 49,7mm is perfect for the portrait stuff as its 50mm.

@@fiddlingaround Thanks alot! Canon has a identical 24-105 but lighter and weather seals. I got the sigma through a good deal. Its a very versatile lens!
