I'm sorry. You route all your cables out of the desk and into the UPS? Why? The power adapter in the leg is what also powers the built-in power outlet in the cable management tray. As long as you have all your cables plugged into a power strip inside the tray, and plug the power strip into the built-in plug, then you should just need to run the desk's power cord to the UPS and be perfectly fine. No need to run any additional cables.

I got me a cheap old Amazon desk for like $200 that comes with all kinds of storage and compartments. Recently I’ve wanted to get a new desk since my setup has upgraded - got an Alienware 4090 PC and a Samsung Ark 4k monitor. Every time I look at one of these more expensive desks they’re all the same. Just a flat surface and two legs. No storage of any kind, and it just raises and that’s the big gimmick. My Amazon desk is a sectional, with the piece where i put my setup having storage underneath and the other section has cabinets up top as well as underneath storage. This offers way more than any of these desks for me lol I wanna see a fancy sectional desk with all the bells and whistles

My one hesitation is that I've got a 43" ultrawide monitor (secretlab doesn't create monitor arms for that size). Do you think there is enough space in the 'cubby' of the cable tray to mount any old monitor arm without interfering with the tray cover/hinge mechanism. Thank you in advance!!

I was chewing a stick of Cool Mint for about 2 mins when I found this video. The flavor is still there after the video ended but it’s much less powerful. I’d say it lasts about 5 mins. Flavor is still weakly lingering about but I can confirm this is way too expensive, even for a single pack. I think I paid about $2.25 on a whim in line at the supermarket. (April 2024)

The entire goal of a UPS is to provide surge protection and a backup battery so that you can shut everything off before it dies. As long as you aren't coupling another surge protector in, you are allowed to use a power STRIP in the cable management tray and plug the power of the desk into the ups to keep the entire operation running with one cable! Feel like this is most useful if you have any short cables, though.

Typical "gaming" style chair are horribly unergonomic. The back rest is almost always leaned back much farther than 90 degrees making it unusable for actually sitting back and up straight and promotes leaning forward, also, some of them have the "lumbar" cushions at the bottom of the rest back that protrude extremely far, and also deter against sitting back, straight in your chair, and again, promote leaning forward. If you actually care about posture and ergonomics, especially your back, do not ever buy the typical gaming style chair, and yes, that includes a secret lab chair. By your self a Normal Desk Chair, where the backrest sits at a 90 degree angle from the seat, where you sit back and straight up at the same time, while keeping your feet planted on the ground. You also never be using a head pillow on your chair, that will push your head forward and unalign your spine. I mean, right in your video you showed yourself leaning forward and not sitting back and straight. That will destroy your neck and back, quickly.

So I'm a console gamer and I've been playing call of duty for years, I've noticed that for long play sessions I've been feeling pain around my left thumb and directly under the thumb around my carpal tunnel area, now I'm not feeling any tingling at all it's just stressed pain, now based off this vid I don't believe it's carpal tunnel but maybe it is, could I get some confirmation and maybe some wrist excercises?
