I have 9 gold crowns , back in the day 20 years ago they were 499 dollars per crown. Now my doctor tells me they are 1700 per crown.

A good treatment depends on a good orthodontist and staff. The materials used, comes second. Invisalign is definitely not the only good brand out there. I've worked with invisalign for more than 20 years, but switched to Spark three years ago, and now I'm also free to use any scanner brand that I want. However, now I have a patient that needs another Invisalign refinement, and Align refuses to use my stl file (and accuracy test results are even better than their stupid iTero scanner). So now I have to 3D print the models, take an impression of that model, send it to them by UPS, then Align will scan the impression and will accept the cases. Bad for accuracy, bad for the environment, bad for me (time) and my patient. Invisalign is a good product, but I will definitely tell every colleague to use something else, just because of their stupid scanner restrictions. I have very good results with Spark aligners, and like the software even much better than invisalign! And 90% of the cases can be done with Spark 20 (middle package), whereas with the middle package of invisalign you only get 14 aligners, so you end up much quicker in their most expensive product (Invisalign Comprehensive).

I’d go through your dentist and not do the stuff online. My dentist said a girl came to him after doing an online invisalign because her teeth were loose. She ended up losing all her teeth because of this! You need to make sure you have check ups with your orthodontist every few weeks so u know it’s working well for you.

Forget it, however small the discomfort, having any procedure on the dentist chair is a nightmare for someone with a phobia. I have avoided dental treatment for 7 years now, I believe. Considering general anestesia, but as silly as it sounds, I'm even scared of the IV needle.

This is exactly what happened to me. I had my bottom left molar pulled ages ago. Today I'm in need of severe dental work because of that experience. I'm about to have another tooth pulled for a total of 3 and still need one or two more gone. I need about 15 fillings and will be needing implants in the future once I get my teeth aligned properly. Thank goodness I'm a patient at a dental school where they are taking very good care of me. I have years before my teeth look the way I'd like them to so I can get married and feel good about looking back on photos. Better late then never I should be 36 or 37 by then

Why hasn't technology brought down the price of crowns? You take a picture with the 3D camera send it to a CNC machine and all the dentist has to do is glue it on. You act like those crowns are made out of solid gold. Even if it was solid gold it wouldn't cost $2,000.

But the airflow’s cold air really hurts sensitive teeth. If my hygienist didn’t apply numbing gel for me it would hurt like hell. But I love how the Air flow will cause very minimal erosion of my enamel.

This was created 3 years ago. Since then Invisaligns patent has expired and other great clear aligner companies have come forward. Invisalign is NOT the only game in town that does a great job...it's just the first. Other prominent dental companies have released clear aligners that are just as good as if not better than Invisalign. Do your shopping.

The cost of imports, tax and higher labour costs go some way to explain the frankly ludicrous cost of implants in Australia, but those factors apply to a lot of other things as well, like a new Mustang convertible, that costs the same as a full set of implants. That’s a whole new car, complete with a fully functioning precision machined engine, versus a literal handful of metal screws and small pieces of ceramic….. so I’m sorry ti say it’s difficult not to see the prohibitive and exorbitant cost of implants in Australia as being a result of anything other than the collective greed of the dental industry.

Invisalign is not the only clear aligner solution out there.. They are great, but definitely cost the most due to the brand name. They're a lot of great cost effective clear aligners alternatives out there like SureSmile and Clearcorrect. These work the same as Invisalign but cost less. Never get clear aligner solutions that does not require a visit to the dentist...

Definitely turned off by other brands that don't require dental visit.
