Yep.. I recall all those faces, the seniors, an. . d a year ahead of me back then. And like you said, I am now fifty-two (almost). Anl /d my daughter always says she wishes she could have grown up then. I will just add a big negative and a big positive of then: 1) Fakery was all anyone understood for the daily public library life. Cliques were CREATED for the 1980s. Not even slightly a positive aspect.

I remember when this hit on the news. Made it national. Know what us GenX kids did? We supported the students. Goes to show you that kids back then said, "Shit happened, can't change it." What I see y'all white saviors do is go to some Mr. Williams home in my area. Mr. Wilson is a black man. Mr. Wilson is GenX. Go ahead, fuck around and find out if you try to take down the ConFlag he flies underneath the Stars and Stripes. A symbol of school spirit, and even the young men agree, "Leave us alone." Back then, the media tried to drive GenX apart. Those who bought into the bo'shit, bought into the bo'shit, others didn't. See how long the media has been trying to drive us apart as well as upbringing. Don't indoctrinate your kids! Let em' be kids and they'll figure it out.

I’ve been working at a high school for a number of years and the kids have no clue what’s going on these days. They look at their cell phones and don’t pay attention in the hallways. Damn Millennials 😡

Class of '71. South Denver High. American Gothic school building complete with gargoyle. We had to use the libraries to get information for your assignments, better than the dodgy stuff over the modern internet these days. Rotary dial telephones still in use. The computer in school ran a type of Basic program to compile grades. More interaction between students and teachers. I recognize some in my yearbook, but I would not know them from Adam passing them by just by the aging process. I only seen four from my class post graduation decades ago. Three of those four are gone as I know it.

I just love how people back then look at the camera and put on a big smile. Nowadays, people will get pissed off, snatch the camera, break it, probably call the police on you, and sue you for harassment. 🙄🤦♂

The guys looked rather handsome. The girls seem rather meh. I remember these times. Girls wanted to look like Connie Francis or Brenda Lee. All that changed when the Beatles came to America. You can't lump the 60s together into a single style. Everything changed over that decade. Unlike the 50s when hardly anything changed.

It was so nice going to school when everyone was predominantly white, I feel sorry for the white students today. I love the shot at 4:31, that is what was best about the 70's. I hated the narcissistic dress code that guy's hair must be above the collar.
