When I started playing in 2014, I thought that to get Warframe, colors, and cosmetics you had to buy platinum with real money, even so I continued playing and discovered that almost everything can be obtained in the game.

first descendant lacks the interesting or fun gameplay / gunplay that games like destiny and warframe have. The gameplay in the first descendant is straight up dull

You kinda nailed all my gripes with the game and why i dropped it, but playing Bunny or your starter for the first 40 Hours, and descendants cost 300 and 600 to buy while the cash shop is fixed at 250 and 520 was the nail in the coffin for me

Warframe took a while to get to where it is. This game has a great foundation and if they build on it over time it’ll be just as good if not better than warframe.

The most NEFARIOUS thing is how the devs purposely gatekeeped the game by making the bosses extremely hard. They did it on purpose so people have an extra incentive to spend money or spend ungodly hours grind. Basically you either spend a lot of your time which is precious or spend your money which is also precious. Choose which you want more. I’m guilty of spending money to get the Ultimate Bunny bundle, before putting some more hours into the game. A mistake I won’t make again.

Just started playing it yesterday and honestly....it's not bad. It's a solid looter shooter with an okay story. Atleast it wasn't toated as the "halo killer" like destiny was, which then turned out to be meh on release.

One thing is for sure, I've had a lot of fun playing this game the past week, my only gripe has been the stupid orb mech on bosses.

New player here (120 hours) and I agree with every single word you've said. Especially, surprisingly enough, with your take about the story. Everyone is like: "Warframe story is on the next level". Well...maybe I'll see more unique interesting quests later but for now the only good quest I've seen was second dream.

I almost reached 400hours and i haven't finished star chart yet :3

My biggest issue I've found is drop rates especially endo and limited access items like with barro K'teer event items and the trading and platinum restrictions on the Nintendo switch platform essentially being locked out of trading from anyone who's not on the Nintendo Switch in addition too that not having cross-trading for clans and players enabled by default breaks away from the overall playability when damage becomes an issue I think this is a mid point barrier but really hurts on the way to steel path cause with quests GTA 5 had an optional skip mechanic which would massively help in the war trio of quests the second dream viel breaker and angels of zaramin Not to mention the archwing railjack nechramech and helminth segment are such garbage grinds that take away from the good gameplay On top of that the archwing and tenno aiming isn't universal or set with an individual option to fix the sensitivity with controllers And speaking of gameplay two horrible mission types need to be addressed spy missions on Uranus had incredibly hard tile sets making spy missions near impossible without ash or wukong and ciphers And my biggest hatred is for intercept missions they are basically near impossible to do as a solo player but with 3 people it's a breeze And since this game has so many design flaws people will quit leaving you to do this solo just like Kirito I would like many follow up videos from the warframe community addressing these issues to hopefully get this on the development teams radar I want to spend money on this game but I'm deterred consistently because reasons? All I needed was 3 hours to realize it's all the same shit over and over. The guns. The loot. Everything is the same. Why? All it is is good elements from good games with no reason besides doing it. Like grind? Why? For what freaking end game man. 😂

While I agree with you about the first few missions but everything after second dream the story and game in general just gets sooo good. And then it jumps up again after war within and then once you play the new war you won’t be able to stop playing there’s just so many cool and fun grinds and different game modes with always something to work for

as i’ve heard someone else put it “The Firsr Descendant is Warframe with a lot more ass and a lot less of everything else.” yet i’m still here playing TFD bc it’s new so rn it’s fun but ik damn well in about a week or two im probably gonna stop playing until they fix a lot of bugs and make things literally essential for harder content actually reasonable to get. which is why warframe can get away with its monetization, bc everything is so easy to get. prime frames are easy as hell to get, ultimate descendants are mind boggling rare to get. warframe for $5 u can get 75 platinum (still not worth $5 in my opinion as 75 is easy to get in trading market) and that’ll get you an orokin catalyst, an orokin reactor, and a forma bundle. which to get this games equivalent of, like you said, would be $25 for just one. warframe doesn’t make you feel like you need to spend money to get something, you spend money to get something in warframe bc you’re lazy or bc you want to support the game. this game makes things so rare it tries to push you to spend money.

Finally a good review of someone who sees the game for what it is. I pretty much aggre with most of your points except a few. 1. Energy Activators Yes its scummy to pay 25bucks but you dont need 4 energy activators per build or descendant, if anything you just need 2 activators to have a very strong build but yes if you are someone who wants to have multiple descendant and multiple weapons for each build then it can get really annoying. 2.Ultimate Descendent Imo they are supposed to be premium and it should take long to get grind them BUT the fact that there are ultimate exclusive mods is killing me. 3. Mods You can get very creative with the mods and play around with it also there are red mods that basically alters the entire descendant skill set and u can have different builds for that. Also i played a lot of gachas and hardcore grinding games like bdo so those 3%drop chances f.e is more then i expected lol

To people experiencing freezes, delays, or more on their pc do make sure to check your ram or which storage you decided to download the game. I have a pretty mid build, 3070GTX, corsair ram 2x32, asus motherboard. Everything is pretty much years old except my ram which is not even a year. But I can play the game full Ultra without any issues to how it shows. But if I’m able to play the game and not have said issues on max settings then there’s no way some of the builds I’m reading are.

I played the beta and was massively underwhelmed and now hearing people's thoughts from launch it just sounds like more of the same. That guy at the start is an idiot. Sure, whatever dislike Warframe for your stupid reasons but it is delusional to deny that Warframe is mechanically one of the best looter shooters out there and is rightfully used as a benchmark when comparing systems and design choices. The same can be said of Destiny. Despite the game having so many ups and downs it has survived for this long and still fulffills a niche nobody else can really get right. The First Descendant also being a Nexon game is just like a bad omen. People should really just suck it up and read about Nexon and accept the game's probably gonna go down the same path as all their other games. Also this I guess is more of a subjective dislike but the artstyle of the game is just so uncanny. Mainly of the women and their faces. It's the usual Asian MMO sorta realistic but stylized and it's just bleh. And oftentimes games like these end up having boring casts of characters.

Been playing online games since… the beginning and MuD. Played almost every looter shooter at one point right from the start at PSO. Yeah kids, that’s your real ground zero. The gameplay here is properly good. Lots of issues over all but its core gameplay is solid. Really impressive, actually. If it grows….

WoW was absolutely not original. From story to gameplay it added some cool stuff and I loved it when it released in 2004. And I spent more playing WoW that first year. 50 bucks plus I sub’ed for a year.

Honestly i've Not played the game yet. But judging from the comunity posts i've seen on steam the playerbase is f-Ing HORNY. I See no reason to choose this game over destiny, warframe etc except for the half naked bunny girls and other thirsttraps. This coupled with the absolute shady monetization is an absolute Red flag for me

The fact that you take NO fall damage, depending on the hight you're dropping from, the SHEER velocity alone of your drop (if that's even characterized intot he game) will turn your grapple hook into licorice rope and legs into wet noodles because GOODLUCK DOUBLE JUMPING OR GRAPPLING if you fall for longer than 1.5sec and you just so happen to be over a no go zone. Truly the pinnacle of gaming, surely there's no going up from here

I am a D2 money spender and i bought all DLCs (worst mistake) i quit the game before the new dlc expansion because it became boring after having strong weapons and armor, looking at Warframe it grabbed my interest from a single short video and now i am interested to play it seeing how you don’t need to spend money at this game
