Wow, first time I've ever seen a OO logo receive a real top-up of coal. This is excellent stuff. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Also, I thought it was water only? As an atomiser only uses the water not oil? Hey if it works then it works for you. Lovely club layout

I have had 3 Hornby models recently that needed “ mending” out of the box! I sent them all back. It’s not my job to make things work. Very poor quality control. I now will not buy Hornby stuff! Sad, but necessary!😊

These are a stunning set of coaches, I've just bought the Beaver tail & the 3rd class coach pack, I've pre ordered the remaining packs from my local retailer, Really looking forward to getting them, Hornby (as with other manufactures) have got there faults, High prices/delays Etc, but they do make some well detailed models.

I guess you ‘slurp’ out the coal from the locomotives off scene somewhere. Is that done with a vacuume cleaner or do you pick it up and tip it out? Nice job - well done.

You mean coal chute. Nice, but I prefer to see steam engines hard at work hauling Santa Special trains before Christmas. I don't mean Southern steamies, Bullied Pacifics are far too quiet. I'm a lady steam engine fanatic in general. Show me a GWR Manor hard at work, and I'll show you how much I truly love her. Merry Christmas.

It’s a coal chute, not shoot. Shoot means something entirely different. A lovely model, mind.

Hi, a great video............I've seen people do conveyors before, even working ones, but I don't think I have seen one which is for coaling the locomotives.............That's really cool and a great feature. Look forward to the next instalment, all the very best, Dave.

Amazing as always, your attention to detail is incredible, absolutely just like my home town.
@brickieblanchardАй бұрын
Your approach to layout weathering is the best I've seen on KZbin, and I've watched a lot being a fellow modeller and train driver. Everyone seems to airbrush the rails before ballasting, but the colour of the rails covers everything within about a 30 metre radius, especially the ballast. So many modellers mask or cover lineside equipment and buildings to protect them from overspray, but that's not how it works in reality. When I have a gentle tail wind and bring my train to a stop, you would not believe how much brake dust you can see in the air in the right lighting conditions, and that covers everything nearby. Great video

Great video also relly nice loco.Someone has said there loco sprung a leak where the bung comes out.Also i think Hornby should have put a couple of spares in the detailing pack as i can see a few of these going missing also they could be made available as spares????
@StormmyStormmy6 ай бұрын
Very nice loco indeed, Hornby don’t really do spares to be fair, I bet that if you lost that bung they would want you to send the loco back to them so they can fit a new one, I’m speaking from experience in buying a loco from them that wasn’t fully functioning as it should, in the end I gave up and decided not to buy anymore loco’s from them again, I have seen videos of this cool loco with steam generator issues on quite a few occasion now, hopefully the issues will get the attention they need to make the system work as it should on a regular basis.
@andrewcalladine25076 ай бұрын
Got mine yesterday, had a real problem trying to remove the filler cap, it wouldn't shift, in the end pinged off. Guess what Hornby don't do spares! Shame as the model is great, so will probably get a friend to 3D print a replacement.
