I 100% agree on your thoughts on the Friend Zone. I DNF'd it as Rom Com's are not for me and the hero and heroine were not clicking with me. I gave her another try with the second book in the series but the 2nd half of the book drove me crazy. I don't think Abby is for me.

You can do it! It feels good to unhaul, plus, you don't need to do much planning. Just sit down and push play. Although you do have to get all the books into piles, which can be intimidating when there is a lot of books to unhaul 😆

I know, and unhaul can feel so freeing sometimes! I thought it was cool, too, with an antique book. It is so cool to think about its history and the time it was read in.

I think it depends on your mood. If you want something fun & spicy with elements of horror, it can be a fun time. Otherwise, it's not really all it's hyped up to be, if that makes sense.

No offense to Kalista… she is a wonderful person and a real sweetheart. I got her autograph on the book. I feel bad that I didn’t like her book… I still read it. It was just okay. I generously gave her a 3 star rating on Goodreads… kinda wanted to give it less but I didn’t because the author was so kind. I won’t be continuing the series… sorry Kalista. 😣

Yes, you do! I think you would like it. It definitely got a little repetitive in some spicy moments in the 2nd book, but the series as a whole is so good

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas or Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros is always a great place to start. I've read three or four books by Neva and I stopped reading the series. Her style just isn't for me. I've only read Scarlet Scott once and I did not get the hype. At some point I'll probably give her another chance. I'm finding my taste in books does not match up with the masses. 🧡🧡🧡

I'd say if you didn't enjoy Painted Scars, you probably won't enjoy the others. I feel like book 2 is a little better but if you Disliked the writing I wouldn't bother.
