I just purchased a pack of these and very disappointed. The plastic sleeves are BIGGER than the booklet and the cd----it will flop around. I'll have to search more on the internet to find something that fits EXACTLY!!

I just picked up this exact turntable but it's got a constant hum. I'm sure it's got something to do with the ground wire but I can't find where it would go or how to fix it. Specs and diagrams on this are hard to come by. Would you be able to make a video with a short tutorial on how to replace it?
@BagsUnlimitedRochester3 ай бұрын
Do you mean you can’t find where to ground your wire? We made a video about setting up your record player which explains this if so!
@dloya3 ай бұрын
Hmm, on further inspection I believe I found it. I’ve got a ground wire on order so we’ll see if that fixes my hum problem. Thanks!

I received a record in a mighty Music mailer one time and recently I’ve been sending some vinyl records out using old boxes and I had great success with this mailer. Thus I did a search and found your website and ordered some for myself as I have started having success in selling some of my records.I’m so glad I was able to find these. Cost a bit more, but they are durable. I look forward to receiving them. Thanks!

Do you have any experience repairing a double-sided poster with a tear in it? The tear is probably 5 inches long. I'd like to fix it and eventually place in a light box, but not if the light illuminates the tear. Thanks for your help!

Your set-up is enough to play records. But if sound quality matters, you need to dial in your turntable, tone-arm, and cartridge. Doing so will result in your stylus rubbing, with precision, in the groove -- and not rubbing where it should not be running (Sort of like keeping your car's tires from rubbing against the curb. You will hear it). There are numerous settings, and to get it right, will take at least 45 minutes, and requires special tools, and special skills. But there are folks that plop their speakers down anywhere, and use their stereo for background music. If that is how you listen, then leave well enough alone. For your amusement, in case you did not know that such equipment exists, check out the Clearaudio Statement turntable. It is sort of like discovering that Ferrari's exist. And that turntable / record player has competition. Anyway, it is good to see you taking an interest in playing records. The more you get into it, the more you will realize that it never ends. That is why I suggest that you watch a video with the above mentioned turntable / record player, so that you can see where this hobby eventually ends up (and to make your jaw drop). Of course, you would need to sell your home and your first born to reach that point. ;-) I am happy to help or answer any questions, for anything stereo related. Enjoy your hobby!

I have a vinyl I’m looking to get framed. But one edge of it is about 1/4" thick, maybe even a tiny bit more, since it opens up like a book. Would that fit in this frame? Or do these only fit sleeves that are essentially entirely flat?

Quick question about using microchamber paper... and this may sound a bid dumb, but I'm rather new to this... do we place a piece of paper in between every single page of a magazine to properly protect it? Or just every few pages or so?
@BagsUnlimitedRochester Жыл бұрын
Depending on the thickness, one or two sheets should do it. Acids migrate, so ultimately they will get trapped in the chambers of the paper.

@skykingimagery899 Жыл бұрын
Very nice and clean. What no one discusses or solves are the ragged top edges and how to repair that. Even if you repair as you suggest there may be a residual ragged top edge. How can this be repaired? How about thin white tape?

Finally! Looked at the doc and several videos. No one explained the technique to making this work or what the Ion Indicator is for. The big takeaway for me is that: 1) The trigger should be pressed slowly so as NOT to click. Clicking = Failure, do over. 2) How to use the ion indicator to verify the unit is working. I tried it and my results are much better now. I do get better results holding the record off the turntable. Using the gun with the record on the turntable does work, but it seems less effective. It takes many more trigger pulls. I'll check out your site. Thanks!
