Sorry right, but someone on the team behind the film DEFINITELY had some sort of vomit / inflation fetish thing that got into the movie like At least it did give us a clear inspiration for the Craig David mask off Bo Selecta with that one frame of that Italian guy

No mention of "Mr. Jolly Lives Next Door"? It had Nicholas Bloody Parsons in it. If you haven't seen it then I recommend it because it's a masterpiece.

I wish that they had kept the scene with the Imaginary Friends hub world. That looked really funny and it let Lizzy see all of the other imaginary friends. As for justifying Fred being in the house with her in her dream, she could have imagined him being there to guide her.

As they were basically the same characters from Filthy, Rich and Catflap, The Young Ones and Bottom, I liked to think of Rich and Eddie as the same people I'd watched in the other shows, but grown up as I did - from poncing around in oversized jackets to uni and then working life beyond - it was as if they progressed and transitioned through UK life's "average" at the same pace and time as we did. That's probably teh thing I loved most about these two. Of all the comic strip crew - french and saunders, fry and laurie, blackadder and baldrick, rimsy and listie, etc... they are the ones that we identified with most, growing up, prior to Parker and Stone, I guess. Reeves and Mortimer were shit. Still are. Idk why they were even on TV - at least matt lucas had the little britain thing.

I remember on Twitter some people were talking about their first time watching Bottom and there was a woman who complained about Richie being so perverted and disgusting and I replied that's the point of the character.

Loved this show Remember as a kid thinking Eddie was so rubbish And looking back….I still think the same 😆 You cant have two mates that remain in the business that are equally talented . Its just impossible. There is ALWAYS a dead weight and BOY was Ade that Rik Mayall is just a PERFORMING genius tho. Without him. This show just fades into utter obscurity

Fred could have said eat sh*t and die in another scene - it was so funny! I liked it when he pointed to his picture at the hairdressers! Picking out the lipsticks was hilarious, if Lizzie had been more interactive with Fred, they should’ve kept it! At 7:27 this scene should definitely have been kept!!! 🤣 14:27 they should’ve kept this too… It was something that was weighing her down!

He's similar to Beetlejuice

That is true as they both have similar suits, crazy, wild, unkept hair and are completely bonkers. The only difference is Fred is an imaginary friend while Beetlejuice is a ghost.

so how did Fred end up with her at her mothers house after he went on his new assignment?
@Spindler20075 ай бұрын
I guess this is why that scene was cut as it made no sense having Fred say goodbye to Liz twice. It was nice hearing him say her name Elizabeth though as it showed deep down, he did really care about her.
@stuartkenny74304 ай бұрын
@@Spindler2007 I suppose they could have edited the scene without Fred having to say goodbye. This is the danger of film editing, you take out one scene and it can sometimes end up having a deleterious effect on the rest of the film.

He was too weird for his time but I say ahead of his time, it was just a little after this that Jim Carey took whacky to a whole new audience and made it mainstream. That being said, I love this insane little gem of a movie, thanks for this one.
